I downloaded the song "Obsession" and oh my god, these guys rock! I remember i heard this song performed by Wham, but Animotion version is much better. Whose song is it originally?
And what about Animotion, did they have any success?

Ah Animotion, one of my favorite groups of the 80s. I liked the Astrid Plane years not the Cynthia Rhodes years. Gotta love that name, Astrid Plane. I even sent her a fan letter, because I thought she was a cool singer. Anytime "Obsession", "Let Him Go" or "I Engineer" came on I sang her part.

One of the original members actually posted here (http://www.80sxchange.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10726) last year.

I don't remember that, Chris. Who was it? I know one of the original members is originally from Rochester, NY.

"charlieo" would be bassist Charles Ottavio.

I really liked Animotion as well. "Obsession" is definitely an 80s New Wave classic, with some fantastic lyrics! I'm with you, Lisa; I liked the Animotion years with Astrid Plane far better than when Cynthia Rhodes (Mrs. Richard Marx) joined the band!

Add me to the list of people that prefer Bill Wadhams and Astrid Plane over Mrs. Marx and "Uh oh, Device broke up. I'd better go over here." The first two albums were incredibly fun to listen to...especially "Strange Behavior".

Strange Behavior was a great album. I Engineer sounds as good today as it ever did. All their tunes were pretty catchy.

I liked "Strange Behavior" because it seemed to take a darker turn than the self-titled debut. The darker sound seemed to suit Wadhams' and Plane's vocals better. Not that "Obsession" wasn't kind of stalker-creepy in its own right but "I Engineer" just took it all the way.
