Does anybody like them?
I think they were one of the most amazing 80's bands.

Weren't they a manufactured one-hit wonder??

They weren't even one hit wonders in the U.S. The only song I've heard from them is 'Love Missile F1-11'. I think that was their big hit, but it didn't chart here.

Their debut album was notable for having authentic commercials in between the songs. Too bad for the record industry that little idea never caught on, huh?

Another great concept album of the 80's was Malcolm Mclaren's "Duck Rock" which had DJ banter in between the songs provided by The World's Famous Supreme Team.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik, when I last heard, were planning a comeback. http://www.remembertheeighties.com might well be able to tell you more - look in their "Archived News" section.

I thought "Love missile F1-11" was an awesome song. I had to special order theor CD when I bought it. Nobody in the States keeps any of their CD's in stock.

I really dug Spunik. As mentioned, they were so unlike anyone else. My fav songs are Rockit Miss USA and Success.

I don't know if they had any official hits, but they definitely have a cult status and many devoted fans.
They had an amazing style and looks, which played a big role in their career. They did reunite a couple of years ago, and even released new albums. Not remixes or covers, but completely new material. But their awesome looks are gone.

Their look was definitely unique. I remember when I got my 'Living in Oblivion' set and saw their pic inside, first thought that came to mind was...now that's 80s

Cheese Cheese Cheese. It's fun to hear Love Missile F1-11 on KJQ once in a while. They even play Success once or twice a year.

A co-worker of mine went to a Sick-Sick Shitbag concert at Loughborough College in 1986, and he said they performed one song before leaving in a hurry such was the animosity between them and the crowd!

You have just gotta love 'Love Missile F1-11' though!

Didn't Love missile F1-11 play in Ferris Bueller's Day off? when he's running home to get to bed before his parents get home.

It's on the soundtrack. It's the first song played whilst he's lying in bed and the sun is shining outside.

How about 21st Century Cowboy? In the 12" remix, they had little skits, like weather reports, hotel advertisements, and the like from the year 2011 (Not far off now).

This song is great and is much better than F-111. Come request it sometime at iMix Radio available on Shoutcast.com (search New Wave).
