DURAN DURAN SCHEDULE FILLING UP:
Duran Duran continue work on their comeback - with a new studio album now delayed until next year, but a few things planned in the meantime to keep fans happy.
The original five members are celebrating the band's 25th anniversary by reuniting for a tour of the U.S. and Japan, with fans able to purchase CD recordings of the band's Japanese concert at the gigs. Duran Duran has cut a deal with music website TheMusic.com. Dubbed Duran Duran Encore Series, "the limited-edition, two-disc sets will be "complete, unedited recordings, taken and mixed each night from the soundboard," according to a press release.
The planned Singles Box Set is due out now, and re-issues of the band's previous albums are due in August.
There is also mention of a live DVD.
In related news, plans are underway for a re-issue of Andy Taylor's classic solo album, the melodic rock masterpiece Thunder, with possible bonus tracks
