Great songs! Some of my all time favorite 80's songs are on that list such as "Turning Japanese" and "Call Me".

Wow, such a great year for music. Disco begining to fade but still a force. New Wave on the radar with pioneers like Gary Numan and Devo. Also, the "Urban Cowboy" movement was bringing country back into the mainstream. Lots of good tunes!

I've heard most of those songs.

Jana, that's a very impressive list, but could you explain how come this is the "Top 43"? Is it based on magazine reviews or fan polls? It certainly isn't based on Billboard's charts as some of the tunes didn't chart very high (in particular, "Rock Lobster" failed to reach the top 40) and #1 hits that year like "Funkytown" by Lipps Inc and "Upside Down" by Diana Ross are absent from the list. Thanks.

Rockboy..it was just from a site. No..it's not Billboard or any official. To tell you the truth...I think I was just bored the night I posted this. Makes you stop and think "oh..I forgot about that song" sort of thing. :)
