Does anyone have any information on the status of Warrant and Jani Lane? I saw them in Poughkeepsie at the end of April but I have heard that Warrant had to cancel a show in Dallas in May because Jani was in the hospital. I also heard a rumour that he is no longer with the band. Does anyone know anything about these rumours or what the real deal is? I sure hope the band stays together, they are one of the best live and Jani is a great songwriter. I heard one of their new songs they were planning on putting on a new studio album and it sounded great. Let's hope these guys aren't folding.

Look at the "sludge wire" section for news (and opinion) items.
Last they said, Jani had to put off another tour (WARRANT/RATT/UNION) due to his drinking problem.

New news today ... mainstremrock is reporting that Jani HAS left warrant and says he will never play with them again. I have seen some info on this site before that has proved to be false, so this info may be premature ... I sure hope so!

Sorry, I should have included this the first time. It does not look like much of a site, but they have broke news before other sites before ... but like I said, they also reported something on Lynch Mob (that Oni was back with the band), but the truth was that George was talking with him but things did not work out in the end. Lets hope this is a simular situation. Warrant is one of the best live shows I have seen as well, and I think Jani has one of the best voices in Rock. The guy can sing anything ... and pull it off just as well live as he can in the studio. I wish he would stay away from the tributes (although the extra money is always nice) ... his heart never seems in it when it is not his own stuff. If you haven't heard any Tribute material, check Napster for 'Jani Lane' and you will eventually find 'Panama' (Van Halen tribute') and 'Photograph' (Def Leppard Tribute) ... both have George Lynch on guitars. Let me know if you have come across anything. I have been trying to see if there is a recording of a comical song they did on their 'Belly to Belly' tour ...I don't even remember what it was about, but it had me cracking up.
