I got the new Bon Jovi CD on monday and I have to say it totaly rocks. I don't know if it was worth the wait of 5 years but the guys from New Jersy are back! My favorate track has got to be "One Wild Night" which was surposed to be the title of the album until the last minute.
What do you people think?

I just thought that Bon Jovi were a over rated pop band until i saw one of their concerts on TV. It was amazing.
I just went out and bought their best of album and its cool. Im thinking of the new album aswell, is it as good/better/worse than their old stuff.
They'll still have to do a lot to get the Standard of Skid Row though. lol.

I don't know if it is more like slippery though, the guys have advanced from that era and I don't think they could right that type of song again, even if they wanted to. As for you Copey, Bon Jovi dont come close to the quality of Skid Row. Do they have songs to match the likes of 18 + life or Quicksand Jesus? By the way the answers NO. The only thing Bon Jovi did for Skid Row was Rip them off, though Slash from GnR did " persuade" Richie to give back his share.

Well I am already making plans to pick up Crush on the way to work tomorow morning (and also the new Poison cd). I've heard a couple of the songs and they sound great. Vintage Jovi! I really like Capt Crash & the Beauty Queen from Mars. I am also making plans to go to NYC to see the band perform on the streets for the Toady Show on June 16th. Amy, I hope to get down there for that show and I'll give you a review if I do. So what does everyone think of Crush now that its out in the US. I absolutely love it! It might be second only to New Jersey. Every track is good (there are no Social Disease's, thank god!). My favorites have to be Capt Crash, One Wild Night, Say It Isn't So, Two Story Town, & Next 100 Years. I wonder what their next single is going to be. I figure they'll release Thank You for Loving Me to get on the Top 40 radio stations. What does everyone think?

I love it I love it I love it!!!!!!! It rocks!!!!! Captain Crash and the beauty queen from Mars reminds me of BlueOmega and me. I agree with you that Thank You For Loving me will be the next single. A lot of great songs on this album. One Wild Night really has a terrific beat to it. Songs like Mystery Train and She's A Mystery and Save The World are real beautiful, they sorta hit home. Hey, did you notice that most of the songs are like part 2 of others? It's My Life=part 2 of Livin On A Prayer, 100 Years=part 2 of I'll Be There For You, One Wild Night=part 2 of Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (finally got to saturday night wooo hooo!!!!) I think this was a great treat for the real big fans.

I agree with Hamish. I didn't care for BJ at first either. Then I took my little sister to see the slippery when wet concert with Cinderella. I was in shock! It truly was one of the best shows I have ever saw! Both bands were great! By the way, what deal did Bon Jovi and Skid Row make?
I plan to pick this album and AC/DC's new one up on Friday (payday).

I've had problems with my tickets for the concerts so instead of goin to 3 I think i'll only be able to go to 1...sux huh? The company I brought them from has gone bust so i've lost the money I'd payed for them. anyway, we'll have to see......I'm going to Crete next week so maybe I'll be more happy then.

Jon Bon Jovi helped get Skid Row their record deal on Atlantic records, as part of the deal, jon and Richie Samobora (reportedly) recieved a VERY large portion of royalties from all album sales (I have read anywhere between 60 and 80%). Because of this, the boys in Skid Row were understandably upset, and wanted to get out of the initial deal. They did, but it was after SLAVE TO THE GRIND was out, and Jon and Richie still got all of that money. Thier first CD with the new contract was the SUBHUMAN RACE cd, which did practically nothing, and since then, Skid Row have not done much until this recent KISS tour, with a new frontman, who by all accounts, is as good, if not better than Sebastian Bach.

Maybe they should spend more time trying to mend their own relationship and writing better songs like their first 2 albums.
