View Full Version : Anti Pepper Spray Rally Outside
Caligula 5-28-03, 12:24 PM Looking outside my office window , I've watching some people holding a rally denouncing the police using pepper spray as it carries cancer causing carsenogens?. they're walking around with signs and have a poster taped to city hall.
Basically the way I see it, if your concerned about cancer causing agents in pepper spray maybe you should examine your lifestyle. Wouldn't matter to me if they filled up the canisters with liquid drano, it's not like i'll ever be sprayed . Man what comes next, theses protesters are scraping at the bottom of the barrel.
I hope it gets out of hand and they pepper spray the bastards:devil:

 That is what I was thinking
Rhelawen 5-28-03, 12:41 PM They could be complaining about the oleoresin ingredient in pepper spray. In which case, they should also protest the use of Absorbine, and Absorbine Jr., both products also contain oleoresin capsicum. Some people have entirely too much time on their hands.

BINGO!! I say that all the time. *claps* (we need a clapping smilie!! )
Sorta off subject but along the same lines...We have a new cop in our town and all the people seem to bitch about him pulling people over and / or chasing the kids off the street and whatnot. My view is, just what Roem said!
The people bitch when the cops don't do their job and when they do, they bitch and moan :irked:

That is too funny!! One of my friends is a bartender and was saying business is bad because this S.O.B. ( ) is pulling people over after they leave the bar. WELL DUH!! Before they go in, they haven't broken the law. See? Drink and walk home. If you live too far away, drink at home. ;)
BrandyBlue 5-28-03, 10:02 PM Ya know, pepper spray is just that--pepper. I cannot imagine how much pepper you would have to ingest to get cancer from it, unless....
Nah, better leave that theory for another, more adult lounge.
I can't imagine anyone getting cancer from PEPPER SPRAY! It sounds like they might get a lot of it in their daily lives!
Blitzburgh87 5-28-03, 10:43 PM All i know is its ruined alot of my dates and i hope they ban it :)

 That's a good arguement for their case. :D :p
I agree w/ Cal, they need to pepper spray them if it gets outta hand. :D Maybe they should outlaw handcuffs too, they might leave a red mark on your wrists.

I was thinking that as well.

Man that gave me a much needed laugh.
 YAY! You rock Roem!
DC Rebel 5-29-03, 01:24 PM I hope it gets out of hand and they pepper spray the bastards
Hopefully, that would teach them, but I highly doubt it.

I heard one individual ask the police officer to loosen up the handcuffs because he felt they were a bit too tight on his wrists. The cop told him that cuffs are not made to feel comfortable.
Rhelawen 5-29-03, 01:34 PM If people don't resist arrest, the likelihood of being pepper sprayed is non-existent. And a blast or two of pepper spray isn't going to cause cancer. It's likely folks are just pissed off because their cigarette got knocked out of their mouth while being arrested. :p
As for the cuffs: quit squirmin', and they'll stop hurtin'. :p

 Is that what I need to do...Uh, I mean the person in the cuffs. :p Just kidding, luckily I haven't experienced an arrest.

In cases like your ‘example’, cultleader, I’ll defer to what DC Rebel posted earlier…

Go right ahead, Slayergrrl. :D
OMG! Some people just feel the need to call attention to themselves. Protesting pepper spray? I agree with everyone else. If you behave yourself, you're in no danger of coming into contact with the stuff.
