Apparently on tonight's episode of Yes, Dear, the cast flashback to their college days back in the 80s... with ensuing hilarity! The show comes on CBS @ 8:30 PM, EST. Here's a synopsis I found online:

After arguing with Greg about years of unreturned favors, Jimmy tells Greg that he wouldn’t be married to Kim if Jimmy hadn’t intervened. In a flashback to the day they met, Jimmy reveals he didn’t like Greg at first, and had plotted to sabotage Kim and Greg’s relationship in favor of his best friend, and Kim’s ex-boyfriend, Brian. But in the midst of his scheming to keep Greg and Kim apart, his plan backfires leaving Jimmy surprised by the results.

I hope it's funny! :thumb:

I'd rather eat a brain tumor sandwich.

I got the jokes right here: Hair-metal and new wave jabs, "Cosby Show" reference, a couple of references to the works of Joel Silver, Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, women with big hair, men with bigger hair, mullets, perms, "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go", that dance that Bruce Springsteen did with Courtney Cox in the "Dancing In The Dark" video, Atari cheap shot and a Pac-Man joke that's like a knife to the larynx.

Summary: The makers of "Yes, Dear" see what they looked like in the 1980s and they flucking cardiac, then wake up and regret the whole shebang, pawning it off with cheap shots and statements of preference of modern-day culture.

I saved you a half-hour...Go read a book!;):p

Sincerely,

Luckily, it wasn't quite like you described, John! :) It didn't cheapen the memory of the 80s at all and no one regretted anything! :)
