Okay. What could be my favorite? Let's see.

1. Metallica - ...and Justice for All
2. King Diamond - The Eye
3. Anthrax - Among the Living
4. Death - Spiritual Healing
5. Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood

Yup. That's what I liked best.. These albums come out on top because they each had an entire album full of songs I liked. I like just about the whole thing. Most records I buy have only a few songs each that I like.

Atello! My buddy! I am glad somebody else besides me admits to liking WINGER. That first album was so tight musically, and so underrated. I really wish we never had MTV where that band is concerned, because we would never have had all the Kip Winger bashing!
Plus, I am you are one of a handfull of guys I know that has heard the entire BLUE MURDER cd, most people know Jelly ROll, and nothing else, and thus, dont rate them as high on musicianship as they should.

My favorite 5 metal CDS of the 80s are as follows:

5. W.A.S.P. The Last Command (always loved blackies voice!)

4. Living Color VIVID (not all "heavy metal" but a great CD and another GREAT musicianship CD)

3. Motley Crue SHOUT AT THE DEVIL (a personal turning point in music for my life)

2. Metallica RIDE THE LIGHTNING (Fade To Black has so much emotional importance to my life)

1. Queensryche OPERATION: MINDCRIME (top to bottom, great songs, music, it is the TOTAL PACKAGE!)

Well, funny how my all time favorite band is KISS, yet they are not in my top 15 CDS that I "MUST HAVE" with me.

Dio- Holy Diver
Anthrax- Spreading the Disease
Megadeth- Peace Sells...
Warlock- Triumph and Agony

Jasper & AtelloBassist...I used to like WINGER too...until I went to see them with Cinderella & the Bullet Boys. I was in the second row, and while Kip pranced around onstage with his hands in his hair, I heard BASS LINES BEING PLAYED! They actually either had another bassist backstage so Kip could dance, or a REALLY well synched tape. From that day forward Kip officially was on my s@#t list...poser king. I know AtelloBassist can sympathize with that! Sad thing is, Kip is a talented bassist. After one song, he came to the front of the stage and I shouted "Hey Kip, where are ya hiding the other bass player?" The dirty look he shot me told me all I needed to know.

My top five(in no particular order):
1. Tesla "The Great Radio Controversy"
2. Giant "Last Of The Runaways"
3. Metallica "Kill Em All"
4. King's X "Gretchen Goes To Nebraska"
5. AC/DC "Back In Black"
Has anybody ever seen a copy of an album by Vendetta from 1982 on CBS Records? It included a song called "Babylon Rocks," which, in my opinion, is the tackiest video of all time(yes, even worse than a Grim Reaper video!). If so, please tell me who is selling it!

Up! Kill 'em All! Remember that album? The Four Horseman, Seek and Destroy.. Back in the days when Dave Mustaine wrote half the songs... They were the best in their time...

Hey, Jasper, I know what you mean about Kiss...They are the first metal band I ever got really into, and I still wouldn't put them in my top 5 either......It was hard figuring out just the top 5....my other 5 (10 to 6, in no particular order) would have to be Dokken's Tooth And Nail, Ace Frehley's Frehley's Commet, Yngwie Malmsteen's Odessey, Livesay's Darkest Hour, and Atello's The Big Payoff!
I know what you mean about Blue Murder...I've been into them since day one (I went through two copies of the first tape before I got the CD), and I have the second CD, the live CD, and three of John Sykes' CD's...I always wonder what musical magic John and David Coverdale could have further created if they hadn't split ways....
And I also am not all that surprissed what Pagan said about Kip....Before I got really into Winger, and realized how GOOD they really are, I also never thought Kip was what he seemed. I always thought he was faking it (Poser!) But regardless, I have come to understand how good he and Reb, Paul and Rod wrote some awesome music! I have Kip's last two CD's, and I have heard some of the new one, and it's incredible....I hope the whole CD is as good as the clips I've heard.
