I've come up with an anime-ish cartoon, and I plan on calling it Glam D.J.

"It takes place in the year 2300 A.D. Technology has advanced considerably, and now almost every planet (with the exception of Pluto) and every moon in the solar system are inhabited. The future is thriving, but there is a problem.

The Solar Government is trying to outlaw music of every genre, and every person who is seen either listening or playing music gets executed.

However, there are still places who have not yet fallen in control of this government, and in one of these many places, on Mother Earth, in a city called Earth City, is a group of friends who are trying to stop the outlawing of music - once and for all!"

Well, that's the intro. The main character's name is Viki Valkyrie. She and her friends broadcast from a pirate radio station in Earth City, in the heartland of North America. Listening to the music gives Valkyrie power, although she does not yet know why. There are alot of 80's styles present, and most of the music in the cart will be 80's based. At least, that's what I'm aiming for.

That's just part of it. I'm going to try and make a flash movie of it, hopefully. I've been working with basic animation, and I think I could probably do it.

That's sound was familar...

Though in that story the government had pretty much already won before the story started. Except for 'Star Wars' the '70s were usually dark like that :alien:

From your nick I'm sure you know there are lots of good '80s metal songs about uniting and fighting the establishment. Stuff in that vein could be quite cool :cool:

Not exactly like Cowboy Bebop, though that's one of my fave anime series. :D It was kind of inspired by it, though, at least, some elements of it.

Now that you mention it, Chris, I was listening to Music Choice Power Rock while I was drawing one night, and that was the same night I came up with this. I have heard many songs of fighting the government, and I'm thinking of making the lot of them the soundtrack to the whole series. I've got somewhat of a scene planned out with the song "We're Not Gonna Take It" playing in the background.

That would be the one thing I'd sugest Metalfan...soften the features up a little so it's not so "anime" looking. There's a glut of anime now, and if you want her to stand out more, maybe distance her from that a little. Just a suggestion....

I've thought about it, but the only thing is that anime was the only style I've really learned to draw. Except for maybe photo realism. And it may be a bit difficult to try and do a cart like that. Would be interesting, though. ;)

Will do that. A friend of mine is teaching me how to use some of the flash programs, so I can get my 'toon "out there". I hope that I can at least get a comic of it posted soon, so stay tuned for that! ;)
