Does anybody recognize this song from late 80s? Kind of a Martini Ranch or They Might Be Giants type of song. Sung by a guy. Some of the lyrics are:

"Don't worry honey...I'm a good driver."
"Don't worry honey...it's not loaded."

and the chorus is "Famous last words", which may be sung by a woman.
Any help is of course greatly appreciated.;)

The only one I can think of is "Famous Last Words Of A Fool" from George Strait...and I'm pretty sure that's not the one you're thinking of! Great song though! :p

Hi there abcmcd,

There was a band called '9353' who had a song called 'Famous Last Words', and some of the chorus includes "It's OK, It's not loaded, I'm a good driver. Don't worry honey"

Could this be the one?

It was originally recorded in 1984 and was released on an album called 'Overdoses At Your Mother's House' in 1993. Go here

as it seems to be available...

Best of luck with the hunt!!!
