hey does anyone remember "Small Wonder", "Alf", or even the one about the seaweed creature named sigmund that played in the mornings? What about "Romper Room", Captain Kangaroo", and the Banana Split show"?:confused:

Alf was a classic.

I was also a big fan of Sigmund the Sea Monster too. All though that was a 70s show.

That would explain why I wouldn't remember Sigmund the Sea Monster.I was to young to remember that show or maybe I wasn't even born yet.What year did that show debut at?I wasn't born until 1975.

I liked Small Wonder and I loved ALf.I never got into Romper Room though or Captain Kangaroo.I was never really into those kids shows.I mostly stuck to cartoons.

I don't remeber the Banana Split show.Was that 70's or 80's?

I guess growing up in Washington until I was 15 would explain why I saw the sigmund show in the 80's also, along with all of the other shows I named. I was never seen in that stupid old mirror either. :p :bonk:

Ah, but how could anyone forget Alf? That's like meeting The Pope at a strip bar and then not remembering it.

Then again, I've never been to a strip bar.

Anyway! Small Wonder. Enough said, because the less said, the better.

EDIT: The Banana Splits was a Hannah-Barbera live-action guys-in-psychedelic-animal-costumes-host-cartoons show from the early 1970s (if not the late 1960s!) and, like its spiritual mate Skatebirds was one of the most powerful weapons in The War To Destroy Good Taste.

It almost worked, too, but then there was New Wave and the world was safe.

I did a little research. Sigmund went from 1973-1975. 29 episodes were made.

It was one of the earliest shows I ever remember seeing on TV. It has been rerun in New Zealand, but the last time it appeared here was in the the early 80s. :)

I remember all of those shows! I liked Sigmund and the Sea Monster the best! Sid and Marty Krofft always had the greatest shows (except for Pink Lady!) :lol:

I always enjoyed watching Buck Rogers. It was reran here last year, so it was good to see it again after all those years.

I used to love Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, HR Puffnstuff, The Bugaloos and Kroft Supershow (with Kaptain Kool and the Kongs) :p Even these shows were 70s I remember watching the reruns in the 80s.
I used to love Small Wonder, even though it was cheesy. Does anybody remember Mr. Merlin, Fame, and At Ease? I mainly watched At Ease, because of David Naughton.

I watched Sigmund and the Seamonsters. I distinctly remember Baggy Pants and the Nitwits from that show. Anyone else?

I remember Mr Merlin -- vaguely. It was on TV in Mexico when I lived there, and didn't get to watch it much.

The Powers of Matthew Starr, I watched more often.

I used to watch "Small Wonder" a lot. What I felt gave that show a real kick was Jamie's distaste for Harriet (and therefore presenting a real surprise in the plot each time they appear together).

Being as old as I am, I remember Sigmund and the Sea Monsters well. I loved those Kroft Saturday mornings. You can check into a lot of the shows and cartoons from a few decades at yesterdayland.com . Going thru the list of the 70's brought back a lot of memories. I guess that I didn't watch as much tv in the 80's.

Funny, I remember all of those shows EXCEPT Sigmund the Sea Monster.

I do remember some older stuff like Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Time Tunnel, Land Of The Giants, and the cartoon Clutch Cargo among others.... :lol: Of course those are all from before the 80s.

Oh yeah, HR Puffenstuff. I loved that show. As for Romper Room, well she never said my name either! :mad: Stupid cow! LOL

Small Wonder! I loved that show. Do you remember the girl next door, "Harriet"? I liked that episode when the bad guys tried to take Vicki away because she was a robot, but they got confused when they saw Harriet through the bedroom window...acting like Vicki! I loved her dress, by the way. So fifties for a little girl.

Romper Room I barely remember. I do remember that mirror, though. *wink*
