Hello Katalyst. And welcome back! Hmm. I can't even begin to remember what I was talking about. It was so long ago! Back in December of '99! Could you copy and paste the exact URL of the discussion? I will go take a look at it...

Thanks, Not Man! Well, "Long Hair and Everything" meant the total "Rock/Metal look". They look like heavy metal musicians but they aren't. Hmm, maybe a better way to explain it is - they look like something they're not. To me, anyway.

Sebastian Bach once said the following about Kid Rock on a recent radio interview:

Kid Rock,he's not a KID and he doesn't ROCK!

I couldn't agree more.

Kid Rock needs to WASH THAT LONG,STRINGY SHIT HE CALLS HAIR.

ya know......
A few weeks ago... I was in my car... listening to the ONLY hard rock station in my area... and they played "Epic" by Faith No More... and can ANYBODY guess what went through my mind at that moment???

OMG!!! Kid Rock copied them!!! Papa Roach!! Limp Bizkit!!! ETC!!

Now, Faith No More is the first group I heard that rapped with hard rock music... Were there any others before them???

Also.... a DJ stated that in an article, don't remember where, Jonathan Davis of Korn made a comment to the effect of... WE were the ones to start the rock sound you hear now. And now everyone else is coming along and copying us.
Then the DJ says.... you heard it right here ladies and gentlemen... Rock and roll was invented by Jonathan Davis and Korn!!! NOT the Beatles... not Elvis or anyone else that we thought of as the pioneers of Rock music!!!

I FOUND IT SOOOOOO HILARIOUS and wanted to pass it on for those of you that need a good laugh or a pick me up!!

Hey. You're right. Faith No More did start that kind of stuff - but when they did it, I actually liked it. There were a few earlier attempts. Anthrax had some rock songs.. Maybe even a whole album - not sure. But, Faith No More was a cool band.. I liked "Epic"...

For those of you FNM fans that haven't heard yet... there is a tribute album in the works. There is no title yet, no release date yet and I only know of one group that recorded a song. (cuz my other half likes modern hard rock too!!) The group is called Disturbed and they covered "Mid-Life Crisis".
