I just got news that my sister went into labor a few hours ago. She is having a boy. I am probably going to go up there a little bit later in the day today for the weekend. I will be sure to post some pictures of my new nephew when I return.

Hey, here's an update. My nephew was born at 4:15AM Eastern Time this morning. He was born before I even found out she went into labor. My sister didn't take long at all. I think she was only in labor for about 5 hours, and this is her first child, so it is my first time at being an Uncle. :)

The baby weighed in at 7lbs 11oz and 20 inches

I will be heading up to New Jersey in another hour or two, so I will be back sometime Sunday or Monday. As soon as I get pictures I will post them.

That's great news. As an uncle of 5 precious children and one on the way, I know exactly how you feel right now. Just wait until you have your own :) I have two who aren't even mine and they are the best things to happen to me.

Pagan..That's a good size baby ......BUT...I weighed 8 1/2 lbs. and was 21 inches. My brother weighed 10 1/2 lbs. and was 23 inches!! LOL!!

Congrats Uncle Brandon! Welcome to the club! :lol: I'm an uncle of 6 myself....my sister made me an Uncle at the tail end of the 80's :lol:

I hope you all are close to your neices and nephews. My neice is almost 23 and my nephew is 21. They lived in Indiana when they were born so I never got to see them that much. Now they live in New York..one in Rochester and one upstate and I haven't seen either one for several years.

I do have a neice here in town who just turned 12. I see her sometimes.

Other than that..on my husband's side, his neices and nephews are all scattered but we all get together a couple of times a year except for the ones in Maryland..we see them maybe once a year.
