Here's and idea that won't happen, have a Woodstock $ of just 70's and 80's artists.

1) they could probably get the artists relatively cheap
2) the people going would have more money to spend on the concessions than the younger generation
3) probably alot less trouble with the audience than at woodstock 3

That sounds great! Alot of them are still touring PLUS........it might even introduce their music to a new generation and revive the sales of their older stuff. I actually think it's a wonderful idea to tell you the truth.

(Damn..why didn't I think of this? LOL!)

I never knew there was a Woodstock 3... Guess I'm out of the loop or something.

It would be nice to have one of '70s and 80's artists, but sadly it will never happen. What are some of the artists that you would like to see at one if there was one?

This will never happen, because of what happened in Woodstock 3 with the mayhem going on. If they did have a Woodstock 4 keep the commercialism out of it. Don't sell water bottles for over a $1.00 and other things. But if they did have a Woodstock 4 I'd have (and some of these bands aren't together, but it would be great to see them have a reunion)

Depeche Mode
Thomas Dolby
Squeeze (the original members + Paul Carrack)
Duran Duran
Spandau Ballet
ABC (hey, have a New Romantic set)
Talk Talk
New Order
Ultravox (with Midge Ure, or just Midge solo)
Alison Moyet
Paul Young
Adam Ant
Elvis Costello
PIL
Madness
The Specials
The English Beat (have a ska set, maybe have Gwen Stafani do a duet with Dave Wakeling)
Pat Benatar
Martha Davis
Patty Smyth
Patti Smith
Blondie
