Hey, remember when the popular thing was to wear Converses? I loved that trend! The other day I was walking down the street and I saw this girl with one bright blue and one purple Converse and I just laughed and thought back of when I did that at the young, young age of 6. I miss it. And now I'm trying to find Converses in my size but no luck :cry:

OH yes... anyways, did any of you ever get into the trend?

No Converses, but...recently, I've found a pair of KangaROOS basketball sneakers in the classic 80s style, all white with a bit of navy blue.

Finally...a pair of sneakers which are not looking like a pair of cooked aliens a la Area 51. :lol:

I loved my converse!! I had a Red pair i always wore. I also had a bright blue pair that came up to my knees the insides were yellow. I didn't wear those much.

Kangaroos!! I haven't seen those in years! I loved the little pockets when I was a kid.

I loved Converse shoes as well... I have a pair of red ones and a pair of pink ones.

Hey! I still wear black converse hightops.
They have no support. They have no cushioning. They are, without a doubt the slipperiest (is that a word?) shoes in the world on ice.

They are the hippest coolest shoe ever made.

That's funny about the different colored ones, though. My girlfriend in high school used to do that. She also took a pair of white ones and painted them this serious psychedelic pattern.
Totally gnarled.

I wore Chucks from 7th grade through college. The same three pairs, lavender, black, and white... boy, were they ugly by the time I was 20 :D Finally the lining ripped out and the soles started to come off, so they were "retired."

I don't currently have any, :( but I do wear retro-80s Nikes :) They're white with a powder blue stripe.

I'm going to have to see if I can rustle up a pair of low-tops for this summer. :thumb:

Damn straight PS! I still have my black high-tops too! Wore them at my wedding reception! Black tux with tails and a pair of black hightop Cons....can't go wrong!

I had every color under the Sun!! I love those shoes:)

I still have and wear proudly my black Chucks.

I have a pink and grey pair of converse high tops from high school. I didn't wear them much then so they almost look like new when I wear them now. They are the kind that are pink and then the top folds over and they are grey on the inside. I can't find anymore like that.

OMG Lisa, are you talking about the Super-Hi Tops?? I loved those! I still have a pair that are turquoise and when you fold them down the inside is yellow. I actually got them off eBay.

Exactally! I dont know what I'm gonna do when my pink ones wear out. I dont know if they still make those and no one around here carries them, or if Converse just doesnt make them anymore at all!?!

I wore some black Converse hi-tops. I was more into canvas ked type shoes and top-siders, but I did enjoy wearing the Converse once in a while.

Never had those kinda Cons (Those are the ones they used to call 'Chucks', right?). I had Converse basketball sneakers in the early 90's, but that's about it :p Chucks wouldn't have looked right on me either with my style in school :lol:
