The 23rd annual Razzie awards for worst in movies was held last night and the Madonna family "Swept away" the compitition.

Worst film: Swept away
Worst actress: Madonna, Swept away
Worst supporting actress: Madonna, Die another day
Worst screen couple: Madonna and Adriano Giannini, swept away
Worst director: Guy Ritchie, Swept away

Madonna now holds the record for most Razzie's won in a lifetime. The ceremony was held despite the war in Iraq. The founder of the Razzies said "War does not excuse Madonna's performance" :lol:

With 5, "Swept Away" got more than twice as many as the two runners-up, "Crossroads" and "Attack Of The Clones" with 2 each. Here's the whole list of "winners" from Razzies.com:

Yeah, Madonna does need to give up on the acting. And after hearing her new song, I am beginning to think she should give up on the music too.

She needs to stick to what she does best - Sing!! You can't act just face it sweetie!!

I have to agree with you about "American Life", Brandon! It's really starting to gall me that Madonna says such horrible things about this country and its people (see The Retro Dish) , the country that made her a star, and she still sucks up to us to buy her latest CD! I'm not falling for it and I hope the rest of the country falls suit! (This from a former Madonna fan!!! ) :eek:

Triv, it wasn't so much the lyrics or meaning of the song that I didn't care much for, it was the sound of it. It just sounded horrible. It's like she is starting to talk in her songs more than sing. I never was really huge on Madonna to begin with, but did like some of her songs. But "Die Another Day" and "American Life" were really bad, IMO
