From the Priest website: they have announced the first single from their much anticipated new album. Side A will be 'Machine Man', Side B will be 'Subterfuge'! Plus, there is a video for 'Burn In Hell' from the Jugulator cd! On the Atlantic Records website are 30 second demos of three songs from their new album. Two of the demos are the singles that are about to be released to radio. The third demo is for a song called 'Metal Messiah'! Their European tourdates have already been announced. They plan on coming to North America towards the end of summer/ beginning of fall!

I heard the song "Subterfuge" didn't impress me to much. Almost nu metal sounding <yucky smilie>

I agree with you Not Man, I didn't care for 'Subterfuge' either. I did like what I heard of 'Metal Messiah' and 'Machine Man' though. And as far as not liking 'Subterfuge' goes, I didn't like Ozzy's 'Ultimate Sin' at first either, it kind of grew on me!

Yeah the other songs sounded ok but I don't know if that one will grow on me.

Hey guys. I saw Judas Priest last night at their home town in Birmingham England. Front row, got some nice pics. As usual they kicked ass, playing most their old stuff as well as the good stuff off Jugulator. The two new tunes they played were Machine Man and One On One, bothe of which were very cool. A mate of mine also has a demo tape of the new CD which he got from some guy there. Some very cool stuff on there. A few tracks sound nu influenced. I'd say maybe one or two, but mainly it's going back to their 80's sound. Only far more aggressive. Whole album reminded me of Dissident Aggressor/Blood Stained. That kinda stuff, should be cool.

I heard a few songs on the radio this past weekend. One was great, one was so-so. I've been listening to Halford's "Live Insurrection" CD for the past two weeks. Damn, if he isn't THE Metal God! This CD rocks from start to finish, not one bad song on it! He does songs that Priest should still be doing, like "Genocide","Tyrant","Jawbreaker" and "Stained Class". He also does some great stuff from the "Halford" CD as well as some Fight tunes. Excellent album!
