I think #3 is Clear and Present Danger...

Only two other good ones out of him that I can think of...'Patriot Games' and 'Hunt for Red October'...not sure if they were best sellers or not though http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif

Great job so far. Here's a few hints on the remaining questions.

2 - Canadien rockers
3 - World War III (remember, this book does NOT have Jack Ryan.)
7 - ????? I think I will let this one go a little longer before I give a clue on who she is.
8 - The coach of this team proved that he was not a CRUM-mie coach.

I believe Public Enemy opened for the Beastie Boys. I like Public enemy a 100x more than the Beastie Boys and I realize I may be the only one. Chuck D is the 2nd best rapper (after Rakim) of the 80's and today! Terminator X is the #1 DJ of all time and Flavor Flav......well every band has a week point, but I guess without him they wouldn't be the same.

More hints for the unanswered questions:

2 - Canadien rockers
- More lyrics from the song:
Well there's a lone wolf out on the prowl tonight
Always lurkin' in the shadows, always out of sight

I said, little girl, don't you hesitate, 'cause you're usin' live bait
Senorita, solitaire, you got a certain kind of savoir-faire

3 - World War III (remember, this book does NOT have Jack Ryan.)
- For this clue we will play charades. Three word title.
1st word: (Commie color)
2nd word: (Thunder, lightning, wind and rain)
3rd word: (What the sun does in the morning)

7 - ????? I think I will let this one go a little longer before I give a clue on who she is.
- Her birth name is ??????? Louise Veronica Ciccone.

8 - The coach of this team proved that he was not a CRUM-mie coach.
- From the state as the Wildcats (not Arizona)

Hi,
I saw The Beastie Boys in Erie and Public Enemy opened for them. Is it possible that they had more than one opening act that year at different places. Maybe my mind is slipping and I saw them a different year.

Shakey you are correct!!

DJDAFFY you may also be correct. I only know that Madonna was opening in support for the Beasties, there could have been others, too.

http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif Glad someone was able to get the charades clue! Red Storm Rising is Clancy's best book in my humble view.

Last clues.

#2 is sung by Loverboy

#8 it's one of the schools in Kentucky.

Could #2 be "Notorious" by 'Loverboy'???
If it is, that would be a clue to one of the songs in my "Return of the lyrics trivia"...http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//uhoh2.gif
