Before Will Smith was a solo act, he partnered with "DJ Jazzy Jeff" and called himself "The Fresh Prince."
Jazzy Jeff's real name? Jeffrey Townes.
They secured a record deal after entering (and winning) the 1986 New Music Seminar, where Jeff won the Battle Of The Deejays.
Although they are no longer billed as partners, Will Smith still works with Jeff, having him produce and 'scratch' on certain songs on his solo albums.
Smith starred in the TV comedy The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air from 1990 to 1996. Jeff occasionally guested on the show, lusting after Hillary, Will's television cousin.
Both Will And Jeff are originally from Philidelphia, PA.
What do you know about these guys? :)

Jazzy Jeff has a new album out last year in the UK and worked on some of the tracks with soul songstress Jill Scott. His interpretation of Marvin Gaye's T plays it cool has got to be one of the best DJ tracks and is often on the playlists of b-boys and fly girlz.
