Did you know that David Coverdale first sang with Deep Purple from 1973 to 1976?

Coverdale originally formed the band 'David Coverdale's Whitesnake' using musicians from his two solo albums, which were made after his split from D.P.

David Coverdale was briefly married to model/actress/video vixen Tawny Kitaen.

A few of the members of Deep Purple later joined Whitesnake as replacements for other members.

Coverdale is the only original member who was never replaced.

The three year gap between the releases of two hit albums (1984-87) was because of a serious sinus illness that threatened to end Coverdale's singing career.

Robert Plant despised Whitesnake's "Still Of The Night" as a rip-off of Zeppelin's "Black Dog" and dubbed the singer "David Coverversion".

Big time guitar talent in this band. Adrian Vandenberg, Steve Vai, Vivian Campbell, John Sykes all played in this band at one time or another.
