View Full Version : Winnie the pooh Culture Club Freak 12-20-02, 05:55 PM whos your fave character?;) Shortie Blonde 12-20-02, 06:25 PM Tigger. Whooo hoooo hoooo hoooo! :D Culture Club Freak 12-26-02, 01:30 PM Mine is Pooh ,he is so cute! "oh bother!" 80sTrivia 1-18-03, 09:28 PM I've always been fond of Eeyore the most!!! :) LOSTNTHE80S 1-19-03, 07:11 AM TIGGER! I love the way he bounces (the way only Tiggers can do :) ) Recker 1-19-03, 04:40 PM I hate all of them! I mean what sort of warped individual would name a character after excrement? And Winnie??? I wouldn't wish that name on my worst enemy! LadyM 1-19-03, 04:56 PM Pooh and Tigger..its a tie, lol! djdaffy1227 1-19-03, 05:45 PM I'm with Michael on this one. I always enjoyed Eeyore. I even have a stuffed Eeyore :) LuckyDucky 1-23-03, 07:16 PM i hated winnie the pooh when i was a child. i still do. GET SOME PANTS... Greenway88 9-26-03, 01:34 PM I liked Roo, Tigger and Eyore. I also kind of like Gopher and Owl. I think Eyore would get my vote. LOSTNTHE80S 9-26-03, 01:46 PM Not sure who my fave character was... I DO still have my stuffed Pooh Bear (wind up musical) that I had when I was little...he looks pretty rough though. TopCat 10-05-03, 05:43 AM TIGGER! He makes me laugh. ;) Duece5150 10-05-03, 06:16 AM I was never too much into the Pooh cartoons, but Tigger is pretty cool  Vigo 4-06-04, 12:22 PM Ugh... I can't stand people who worship Tigger... Every time I here the word "tigger" it sets me off into rant mode... I love Whinnie the Pooh, but Tigger was an immature, care-free, MORON. I'm not trying to be cruel (really ;) ); its just that Tigger is the effigy of ignorance and idiocy! Why do people relate to and worship a character who is purposely portrayed as annoying, rambunctious, rude, crass, silly, ignorant, intolerable, irritating and down-right dumb! And a pox on piglet as well. He does nothing but whine and worry. And nobody likes rabbit... why? Because he was intelligent? Because he was practical? Because he WORKED?! Because he made sure the other characters didn't kill each other off with their own ignorance?! I mean... I love pooh... but his threshold for thinking is capped at poking his head and repeating the word: "think" over and over. Eeyore was ok. He had depth. Far too extreme and a little heavy but at least that kept him grounded (unlike certain bouncing feline imitations). Gopher is fine if you can handle that lisp of his. Owl is the effigy of that grandpa or uncle you have that is full of false knowledge and is therefore pathetically insignificant. Amusing, but insignificant. The kangaroo's were mediocre. That yellow bird, kassy? She was just way overdone. She was cute that crossed over into annoying. Tigger sucks. I know I already ranted about him. I dislike him so much that he deserves some more. And now for the winner: Pooh is of course the greatest. He's irresistably lovable. You can't resist the manipulative hypnosis of his image or the soft and un-threatening voice. That alone is enough but he's also well balanced with faults and strengths. He's a little slow but I wouldn't call him stupid, at times he's actually intelligent and his practicality though incredibly simple, is also usually valid. He's sufficiently grounded but imperfect as well (unlike rabbit whose only problem I see is being trapped in an insane book of chaotic imaginations with unpredictable and less fortunate neighbours). Infact, the reason rabbit isn't better than pooh is because he's too perfect, and too real. People sincerely dislike rabbit because he's too much like a regular human being instead of a ficticious story book character. There I go about rabbit again... Why don't you people like him!? *mumble, mumble, mumble...* (the mumbling just trails off into the quiet after a minute or so...) galaga-girl 4-06-04, 06:14 PM I love Eeyore, but I hate how everywhere you go there are "Pooh" things, they are everywhere!!! I wish they would pay more attention back to the more traditional characters of Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. Enough with Pooh!!!:argh: |
