Didja know that Dee Snyder used to sing in his church's choir?
Jay-Jay French used to work as a waiter, and as an assistant manager of a hardware store.
"I don't think Twisted Sister is "glam" because that implies glamour, and we're not glamorous. We should be called "Hid" because we're hideous."

Twisted Sister made seven videos in the 80s: "You Can't Stop Rock N' Roll" (1983), "We're Not Gonna Take It" (1984), "I Wanna Rock" (1984), "The Price" (1985), "Leader Of The Pack" (1986), Be Chrool To Your Scuel" (1986), and "Hot Love" (1987).

Another one of Dee Snider's forays into writing was co-authouring a book of advice for teens published in 1987, Dee Snider's Teenage Survival Guide, Or How To Be A Legend In Your Own Lunchtime. He returned to dispensing advice in 1996-97 with an "Ask Dee" online column. http://www.deesnider.com/ask/

On VH1's Twisted Sister "Behind The Music" episode, Dee Snider said that he has written a Christmas song, which his publisher sold to Celine Dion to record. Dee asked that she not know who wrote it. They didn't mention the song's title, and I don't own any Celine Dion CDs to check....

Dee Snider was such a fan of the guy (forgot his name) who played Needermeyer in Animal House, he just *had* to have him in the *I Wanna Rock* video, even having him repeat many of his Animal House lines verbatim.

Twisted Sister used to play all the local clubs here, from dives like "The Rising Sun" to the big places like "L'Amour".
Dee's voice was not exactly the best when he was first in the band, and to compensate, the soundman kept him low in the mix live, earning himself the nickname, "Secret Weapon".
Fights at Twisted club shows were commonplace....most of the time started by the band themselves! They would constantly attack hecklers!
Man....I miss those days!
