My operation was cancelled!!! :irked: Just as I was about to leave to catch the bus down to the hospital, a six hour drive by bus, the hospital rings up and says the op was cancelled due to..........."Not having the necessary tools for the operation!" What the.....????? Bit of an excuse you reckon?? :lol: Beyond their control too! yeah right!

I now have to wait for who knows how long again......:rant:

Just for that....EVERYONE get a TSK --> :tsk: :tsk :tsk:

Was basically going to type what Alan just did.. maybe a piece of the equiptment that was going to be used in the procedure was damaged in some way and they are waiting for a repacement. We want everything to be in tip top shape when they are working with you :) At least this way, you will be able to spend a little more time with your family and your friends here on the xchange. My thoughts will be with you. {{}}

Sounds like the efficiency of a New Zealand hospital! That sucks Shei. I suppose it's just as well they notified you before you left, rather than waiting for you to turn up before giving you the news!

Sorry to hear it got cancelled:( , well at least postponed. It sucks getting mentally prepared for something so huge, then getting let down and having to start all over again.:rolleyes: But, on the other hand, you certainly do want them to have the "right tools" when they go about it.;)

Shei, I'm really sorry to hear about the postponement of your surgery. But, it's better that they be completely prepared than to get you opened up and not have the necessary equipment to complete the surgery. :eek:

I could be in by the end of next week or the week after. Apparently, the suppliers of some of the equipment were taking their time with some stuff too! Which is why I had to be cancelled. The hospital thought that the rest of the equipment would be here before I had to go down.....Gee, you think they would have it there before they call you down eh? :irked:

I'll let you all know know when I go.....AGAIN!!! :D
