Today we had a bomb threat at school...that's why I'm home early. Some girl wrote on a Girls' Bathroom wall or something that there was a bomb. Probably cuz we only have two days of school this week and someone wanted out early.

My second block teacher's a real bitch. She said today..."It's a nice day kids, let's for a fun "NATURE WALK." I'm thinkin..yeah sure alright I'll only take my inhaler." She said not to take anything...

We get outside and she says "to the bus barn..." ....we all know what that means. Of course I can't go back in to get my purse. She didn't ****ing tell us it was a bomb threat till we got outside...next thing I know we're being sent home.

I bitched at her. I told her "what if I go home and my house is locked? I won't have my ****ing keys!!! What if I have my SS in there? And money? How the **** will I even call anyone to get in my house huh?"

This is what she said: " I thought everyone would've gotten it". BITCH.

So now I don't have anything at home but my inhaler. My purse is OPEN in a classroom. Chances are...it won't even be there tomorrow morning when I get back to school.

Shortie..
Your teacher was only following some procedures that she had to follow in this incident. I can see why you were upset about your purse being left behind (when she said not to take anything, she probably meant books, etc..) but when you are faced with the responsibility of the lives of X amount of students, you cannot let anyone go back inside for anything.

I know this...but I'm in a school that's notorious for having excessive bomb threats and she should've told us while we were inside so that we could've gotten things that we can't live without. In my school we're allowed to take our bags out because we have so many bomb threats when people get into the "bomb threat season".

People don't realize how unimportant material things are and how easily they can be replaced until you have REALLY lost everything. Next time, when your teacher says that you are going to "take a nature walk" just grab your purse and take it with you. :)

I know this kind of situations too. Maybe you can call the caretaker for your purse?

Bloody hell. Sorry ta hear this, pet. :( As fer the purse an yer personal articles - when ya get ta school tomorra, ya might want to hit the guidance councillor's office -before- class opens an tell her ya gotta get into that classroom for yer things before they're stolen. Just tell her you've got "sensitive" personal family info in there. [Not that I'm tellin ya ta lie.... cause I wouldn't do that] ;) Seriously tho, have a talk with someone sympathetic an in charge. It might help.

Actually I bitched enough that my dad called the school and I got to go back after hours to get it. :D

Lol. I had a bomb threat once. They didn't close school, but like around half the school didn't show up. I was guilty of bieng "sick" as well.

I needed the sleep.

Well we have zillions of bomb threats out here...in hick&redneckville since they all love hunting and stuff. There are always bomb threats on a first day of a hunting season and when it snows. So we just get sent home usually.

I have to agree with Jenna on your life is more important than a purse. You can always get a purse, but you can't replace a life. People are too worried on material things when it comes to emergencies. But glad things are okay now. :)
I remember in high school we had a couple of bomb threats, and we had to go over to the middle school. The only time they let us out early was when they did a mock drill and they wanted to see how fast we got out of the building. We could only take our jackets and backpacks/purses. It was very interesting to say the least.
