I am a huge fan of Van Halen, have been since Gene Simmons produced their first album. I have seen them twice with David Lee Roth and twice with Sammy Hagar! Awesome!! But, why is he checking himself into a cancer hospital for preventive measures? You don't do that unless you think you have cancer, right? I'm not trying to be negative or anything, but my wife didn't go to the baby doctor until she thought she was pregnant. What is really going on?

In Deja news, some people are claiming that the news was on MTV & that it was on the Van Halen website. I'm haven't been a VH fan since David Lee Roth left so, I'm not sure what's really going on.

Love to all!

It does seem a little odd to me. I just wonder what the cover-up would be for if he DID have cancer. Why would you cover something like that up so harshly? Something's a little wacky.. I dunno..

Here's what I've gotten out of the Austin-American Statesman Newspaper here in Texas:
Eddie Van Halen will undergo preventative treatment in Houston at UT M.d.Anderson Cancer Center. He plans to begin outpatient treatment to prevent cancer. (He's a likely candidate due to being a heavy smoker) He's had tongue cancer and has had surgery to remove part of the organ. He does not currently have cancer. He's going to be treated as part of an outpatient clinical trial to prevent tongue cancer and may have some risk factors for that type of disease.
