I read this news a while back and forgot to post it. Anybody remember the guitarist on the 'Rebel Yell' album. His name was Steve Stevens. He was/is great! He also played guitar on Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. Well, he and Billy apparently had a falling out. He said he doubted that he and Billy would ever do anything again. Time does seem to heel all wounds. They are working on a new album together!! Wouldn't it be great if they could recapture some of the 'Rebel Yell' excitement!!

No, I'm just behind posting it. I honestly forgot about it till I came across an update about the recording progress (nothing new there). I notice that the 80s station here has been playing songs from 'Rebel Yell' more often, specifically 'White Wedding' and 'Eyes Without A Face' as well as 'Rebel Yell'. That was such a great album.
Was it punk or was it rock? Depends on your definition of each. I consider it rock.

Yes, Billy Idol was a founding member of Generation X, one of the most influential punk bands of the late 70s...

Led Zeppelin is my favorite band! Generation X made so many crude remarks aimed at Zeppelin that I hated them without ever hearing their music! Then Rebel Yell came out! Wow! I realize that Gen X were trying to make a name for themselves, but Led Zeppelin, come on!! Still, this coobration between Idol and Stevens can only be a good thing!
