Okay, I don't have a very complete list but there are some bands from the 80's that have been nominated.

For best Metal Album is Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson (?), Def Tones(?), Pantera (they're pretty hard), and Slipknot (wimp rock!).

For Best Rock Instrumental Performance: Metallica/SFS Orchestra Joe Satriani, and Peter Frampton.

Bon Jovi has also been nominated for Best Rock Performance by a Group with Vocals and Best Rock Album.

Other tidbits:
Kiss's tour ranked 4th in concerts with top ticket sales last year beating out a lot of teenybop tours. The world is saying they want real music!

Also, Sebastian Bach has said that he is working on a new cd but it will be available exclusively through hi website sebastianbach.com.

Gotta go to work, see ya!

I thought there would be particular interest in Bon Jovi being nominated for two awards. The Kiss tour has done outstanding, it doesn't seem to end!

Is the KISS tour award for the Psycho Circus tour? That was a while ago!

I believe that is the album they're supposed to be touring in support of, but this is really being billed as their farewell tour. That's why the tour is lasting so long.

Oh, btw, there is no award for top grossing concert tours. The info. about the Kiss tour was just something extra I came across when I was looking for info. on the Grammy nominations. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, it is a very long tour and is still going on. I believe they're in Europe right now. I think they are supposed to play the Garden sometime in Spring, I think that is supposed to be their grand finale. It'll be weird not having Kiss around anymore. I remember having the Gene Simmons doll when I was like 7 or 8, somehow him and GI Joe always beat everybody else up! They have been around forever! Its sad because they are kind of like an institution that will cease to exist in a couple of months! Who will rise up and take their place?
