There is quite a bit going on with several 80's era bands. Here's what I can remember:

Britney Fox is due to release a live cd.
Nikki Sixx's wife just gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
L.A. Guns just finished recording a new cd, set to be released early spring.
Slaughter is working on new material for a new cd, no release date has been set.
Warrant is finishing up a tour. They are also finalizing a record deal and plan to begin work on a new cd right away.
Halford (Rob Halford formerly of Judas Priest) is planning on releasing a live cd later this Spring. This of course was recorded during the Iron Maiden tour. They will also be recording at the Rock In Rio festival later in the year.
Iron Maiden are planning on releasing a box set of "rarities" later this year along with a live album recorded during the same tour with Halford.
Robin Crosby (formerly of Ratt) recently had back surgery. He is doing well but apparently has a lot of physical therapy to go through before he is 100%.

These are the things I read and thought would be of some interest to some of you.

Wow, Sal, that sounds pretty cool. Thanks for the offer. I don't know.... The main problem I have is that I never know when I'm going to be around. Between having a beautiful wife who has chronic back problems, two schoolage children and a baby who isn't walking yet, my time is tight. And I'm not even talking about the 60-70 hour week I put in at work. I'm not making excuses, I just want to make sure I can dedicate the time to you that you would deserve. Send me a pm telling me what I need to do. Again, thanks for the offer, I will seriously consider it.

Another one to add. Not a band but Bryan Adams is starting to record a new album this month and will be released sometime in the next year.

That's cool! I'm not as crazy about his newer stuff as I was with his 80's releases. But, I still like him for something kinda mellow to listen to. In fact, my class voted his song, Summer of '69, as our class song. That was the year most of our class was born. Personally, I was born right in the middle of the summer '69, July 1. Anyways, its great to hear that yet another 80's star is still shining in the new millenium!

I like that song, "Summer of 69". Funny thing is, I used to think Bon Jovi sang it. It sounds soughta like him. Doesn't it? If you kinda think about it? hmm
