Some sad news to start with. It seems that former Ozzy and Motley Crue drummer Randy Castillo has been diagnosed with cancer. He had a tumor removed from his jaw and is undergoing chemo now. Positive thoughts go out to him...
Speaking of Ozzy, rumor has it that his touring band for the Ozzfest this year will be Zach Wylde on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass, and TOMMY LEE on drums! That should prove interesting!
Last for now, and this news is making me seriously consider taking a trip to Utah this summer, is the "Rock Stock Festival 2001". It takes place in Wendover, Utah on August 23-26. Check out this lineup:
Bad Company
Pat Benatar
.38 Special
Cheap Trick
Styx
Jethro Tull
Chicago
Peter Frampton
Grand Funk Railroad
Kansas
Fleetwood Mac
Santana
Iron Butterfly
Queen
Rick Springfield
Steppenwolf
Boston
Holy shit! If anyone has the means to go to this festival, then by Goddess do so! You will never see a lineup like this on the same stage again! Great bands from the 60's 70's and 80's all together for one festival! Damn! It's going to be interesting to see who will be singing for Queen. You can't replace Freddie, but believe it or not, Gary Cherone did a GREAT job at the memorial concert in London. I hope they got him.
Peace,
Pagan
