I Just read at another site that the last show will be at shea stadium. Lets see, the site of the beatles most famous US show, the last show for the Police and now the last for KISS. Not a bad deal. Big outdoor facility.

I just read the same thing. Actually what I read was a Gene Simmons interview. He said that Shea Stadium might be their last show. Their slated to do a European tour next. And Eric Singer is still in, for now.

no way... I'm not sure how much of a KISS fan you are, Culty.. but they won't tour again after this... it's the end... I am positive... and most KISS fans fans will tell you that its true as well.. They are wanting to go out on top... and with the problems that are going on between the band members.. I think they are struggling just to get through this tour so that it CAN be over..

just my opinion... http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//gene.gif

Well... you can mark my words.. they will not pull the reunion crap again... they are ready to call it quits... They are getting too old for putting up with each other... and let;s face it.. this is the very first time that they have reunited anyway... so late in their career.. I could see if they had pulled this stunt before... but they never have! They reunited... put out an album... and are now saying farewell... it makes total sense to me...

Yea, I'll give them credit for not pulling the reunion stunt year after year like Black Sabbath and The Who. I do think you're right that they will not try to reunite the original KISS again. But, is KISS ever going to record again? I mean with Eric Singer on drums and Bruce Kulick (or whoever) on guitars? Have they actually said that KISS will be no more after this tour or just the original four?

Since I gave KISS their kudos in the above post, I'd like to continue. Not only did they give us some of the greatest rock music anthems year after year. They also helped many young bands get started, they introduced us to some really great bands. The main ones I can think of are Poison and Van Halen.

I love Kiss, but I think they should quit after this... It's better to go out on top. You know what I'd like to see, all 4 of them in their own Kiss life story movie.... Gene could be the producer http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif How many fights do ya think that'll cause http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif

Thanks Red.... and they have never been about drugs.. (well at least not Gene and Paul).. just good clean rock and roll! Throw a little bit (ALOT) of sex in there.. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//smiley5.gif what a great band!! http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//gene.gif

Red.. I think that they will probably still record stuff with other artists such as Kulick or Singer, (maybe not those two specifically), but I think the origional 4 have run out of things to write together..
Let's face it.. Psycho Circus was not their best attempt... they just don't click anymore.. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//frown.gif

But it's okay.. they gave us 28 years of music!! That's pretty awesome!!

Yes it is, Tina. They did a lot to make rock n roll what it is. You can't even truly compare them to anybody, they were/are too unique. And hopefully they are not finished contributing to that, any of them!

Shea Stadium? Damn, that would SUCK! First of all, since I plan on getting seats right up front, it will be further back than I would want, and second, Madison Square Garden was almost a holy place for them. It would be blasphemy for them not to end it there.

As for them coming back, don't count on them being like Ozzy. You have to remember something, they physically won't be able to wear heavy armor like Gene does and waltz around on 7 inch heels. Their bodies won't be able to take the strain. Will the non-makeup KISS ever play live? That's a better bet.

However, no matter what they do, I will adore them for what they have given rock & roll, even though i am MAJORLY pissed at Paul & Gene for daring to put Peter's makeup and costume on someone else, and at Eric for having no shame and doing it.

More KISS rumors:
Peter Chris will not return for any more shows, not even the finale. Which means Eric Singer would be the drummer for the balance of the tour! KISS are probably going to tour Europe and Russia before returning to the US. Some sources say their finale will be at Shea Stadium, others say it will be at Madison Square Garden.

At an Alice Cooper show on April 26, Alice asked the audience if they recognized Eric without the cat makeup. He was referring to a returned Eric Singer, fresh from his stint with KISS in Australia. They then played 'Rock and Roll All Nite.' Before the show, Eric was quoted as saying that he would be back on the road with KISS in Septemember and October!
BTW, Alice Cooper's next studio album is due out this fall.
Peter Chris will appear in an upcoming episode of HBO's Oz.

Sorry guys. But, it appears that Peter is not coming back and that Eric is poised to finish off the KISS tour. This stinks on other fronts as well as from a KISS reunion tour standpoint. Let me explain (stay with me, this can be a little confusing):
Eric Singer is a full fledged member of Alice Cooper's band, who is also on tour (KISS and Alice Cooper were touring Australia at the same time on different tours!). If KISS takes Eric Singer then Alice Cooper needs a drummer. For his Australian tour, he got his previous drummer (don't know his name, sorry) who is a current member of Megadeath, who is also on tour. Alice Cooper is currently touring Europe with Dio! That is where Eric should be! Megadeath is currently touring Europe on a four band package that includes headliners AC/DC! That is where Megadeath's drummer should be! KISS is where Peter Chriss should be! They are affecting a total of four major tours by HUGE names!
BTW, if Eric goes to KISS, and Megadeath's drummer goes to Alice Cooper, then what would Dave Mustaine do to fill in the vacant drummer's slot in Megadeath?
Did you follow all that?
