View Full Version : More 80s tees!
ImSoooSure 10-08-02, 01:51 AM I went into Hot Topic and they had even more 80s tees available. They still have Growing Pains and a bunch of the older ones too. The new ones I hadn't seen included Sid Vicious, Kiss, Threes Company, Pippi Longstocking, Wonder Woman and Saved By The Bell. I just love this store! :D They're on the web if you want to visit too. I think it's www.hottopic.com. ;)
The Hot Topic by me has some Motley Crue shirts too, along with a BUNCH of Goonies shirts! There's a Chunk "Truffle Shuffle" shirt, a Data shirt and a Sloth "HEY YOU GUYS!" shirt. I have to get the Chunk one!!!
Iluvthe80s 10-08-02, 05:18 PM I sure hope the Hot Topic here has those Motley Crue shirts. I want one!!! :D
Shortie Blonde 10-08-02, 05:28 PM I'll look at some point, but my head is getting chewed cuz it's homework time!
outofplacechild 10-08-02, 06:22 PM I thought Hot Topic was for ravers and ironic people (you know, those who don't really like the 70s and 80s and are just wearing T-shirts like that as a sarcastic goof).
I'm 19 years old and I feel ancient when I walk in a Hot Topic store...It's probably the juxtaposition of 80s pop-culture items and relentness, rhythmless techno music that jars me.
Sorry if I offend anyone who goes into Hot Topic...
Pagan, Lisa, Stacy...
What's the secret to feeling youthful when walking around in a Hot Topic store?
Sincerely,
John "outofplacechild" Kilduff

I go to Hot Topic because I'm deprived of real head shops in my part of the woods. That's like the only reason. I'm not a raver, nor are any of my many friends who shop there...but I'm not offended.

Wow, I never thought about the philosophy behind shopping in a Hot Topic store. I see it, I like it, I buy it!
Christine 10-09-02, 11:49 AM I don't know...I always feel strange walking around in a Hot Topic store. It's too goth for me. I'm a rocker/metalhead, and I'm definitely not into the nu-metal/goth bands they have at Hot Topic. They do have some cool jewellry though. I'd love a Saved by the Bell shirt...I love that show! :goofy: :D

No secret whatsoever.....just do what I do. I don't give a shit. You are who you are, either people accept you or they don't. If they do, hey....join the party. If they don't....f**k 'em. Their loss.

Christine... you hit the nail right on the head for me!
I agree with every last word that you posted! I like the jewelry as well.. the spiked bracelets and things like that.. but I can't stand the goth look... and the baggy ass pants with zippers on them... they are always selling that kind of shit there.
Totally not my style.
plus.. all of their cool tees are for teeny tiny girls with no breasts!
I could NEVER fit my boobs into one of those shirts! (or my stomach for that matter since I'm pregnant LOL )
wavemaster 10-09-02, 08:00 PM For the money they're taking from their customers, they could at least move their content to a host with faster servers.
Sorry, but waiting +2 minutes to see the new page opens makes me losing my contenance. :hammer:
ElectricYouth 10-13-02, 04:57 AM Hot Topic is the best place to go for vintage shirts. I have like 3 My Little Pony shirts from there and then I have a Growing Pains shirt, not to mention my Care Bears and Monchichi shirts.
Shortie Blonde 10-13-02, 07:50 PM I went to Hot Topic today. :D

Amen, TinaJo! I am not pregnant, but have trouble with the other part! Hot Topic is the only store where I barely fit into a XL top - I have to get XXL!!! I don't know why they have to run the sizes so small and make chicks feel like fatsos!
