Shakey... or anybody else that knows...

I installed Norton Systemworks 2001 which seems pretty good, but what I'm after is something that will fit in the system tray and tell me my CPU load average. If it showed memory and virtual memory load as well, that would be nice, but I'm mostly after CPU load in real time.

I don't need some big time utility, just something that will nicely sit into the tray.

Know of anything?

Yes I know ctrl-alt-del will show the task list and cpu load, but again, I'm after something I can just hover the mouse cursor over and see it.

I don't know of anything that sits in the system tray and does what you want. There is an application called "Samurize (http://www.samurize.com/)" that allows you to configure pretty much anything you would want to monitor and you could design it to be very unobtrusive on your desktop. I seem to remember one screenshot that showed a configuration that had been put together that sat on the Taskbar. It's pretty much up to you what you want to monitor and where you want to place it. Might give it a try and see if it meets your needs.
