Mirrorball Man 11-24-01, 01:14 PM I dont know if any of you have taken to this new series about SuperMan as a teenager, I think it is written very well.
In any case, the reason Im writing is Im wondering if anyone can tell me who sings the song during the opening credits?!
Its a male vocalist and in the chorus he keeps saying : Somebody save me!
If you know who does this please post.
Thanks in advance
MM
Caligula 11-24-01, 02:26 PM I don't know if this helps but under www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com) they list two song from this tv series

"Everything"

this may help

outofplacechild 11-24-01, 03:15 PM I haven't seen it and I have no desire to, either. I avoid modern teen entertainment of any kind, whether it's movies, music or TV (notable exceptions: Pink's music and Britney Spears-induced onanism, but I digress). Besides, I can't say I cotton to the idea of "Superman" becoming a whining "Normalhuman".
Once again, that's just my opinion.
Sincerely,
John "outofplacechild" Kilduff
Favorite "Super"-stars: Christopher Reeve and Helen Slater
Mirrorball Man 11-24-01, 04:41 PM Hi Caligula & Outofplacechild.
Thanks for responding.
Caligua: Ill check out the link , Thanks.
Outofplacechild:
We all have our right to our opinions here, I do respect this.
But what does your opinion of a show you never seen have to do with me trying to find out the artist who does the song in the opening credits?
In my opinion that would be absolutely nothing.
Your post was completely unnecessary.
If you want to listen to Pink and Britney have at it. I dont and havent listen to anything in or on popular radio for sometime, though I do follow what the industry is doing to keep current.
To find actual good music you have to go alot farther than the radio today.
Of course thats just my opinion. ;)
Thanks
MM
pamela* 11-24-01, 06:02 PM This is one of my weekly shows, and a very good one. The song is Save Me by Remy Zero (http://www.remyzero.com/) ;)

Quote from Mirrorball Man: "What does your opinion of a show you never seen have to do with me trying to find out the artist who does the song in the opening credits?

Look, I didn't read the post correctly. I was only responding to this text:
"I dont know if any of you have taken to this new series about SuperMan as a teenager, I think it is written very well."
I was just giving my response to that text, and now you're after me like I'm the second coming of Adolf Hitler.
I never thought I'd have to defend my opinions about this show here.
"Your post was completely unnecessary."
Sorry, but I had to get my opinions out. It may not have been the right forum, but I did it.
If you can't accept my mistakes, then I'm sorry. That won't stop me from making them, though.
Sincerely,
John "outofplacechild" Kilduff
I knew I'd be crucified for my opinion. Maybe it's time I took a break from this board.
Ted Nugent 11-25-01, 11:59 PM I totally agree with you, OPC. Modern teen entertainment is garbage. Your opinion is always welcome on this board. It's a shame people misunderstand and take things the wrong way when people make mistakes.
You don't have to leave.
pamela* 11-26-01, 12:06 AM Ah, pay no attention to the brat!! LOL just kidding Noogie. I actually like this show, but opinions are welcome.
Sorry, just trying to lighten things up in here before you guys really go at it!!

Can only hope it works. lol
Iluvthe80s 11-26-01, 12:11 AM I have never even heard of this show. What network airs it?
No one has to leave this board, unless directed by Sal to do so. It's called difference of opinion and since we're in America, we're entitled to this. Please don't tell me that y'all really expect over 1800 members to agree with everything said. This will never happen. ;)
pamela* 11-26-01, 12:12 AM I didn't realize OPC was so upset. I don't know you that well OPC, but I hope you don't let this keep you away from the boards too long. We all have opinions and yours is just as welcomed as anyone else's. Hope you figure things out and return soon. :(

The WB (http://www2.warnerbros.com/web/television/index.jsp?fromtout=home_menu_tv_item0) airs it here.. not sure about elsewhere.
Mirrorball Man 11-26-01, 01:48 AM To OutofPlaceChild:
Look first of all I dont want you to leave , that is a loss for myself and the rest of us here.
As for you being the secong coming of Hitler because of you expressing your opinion, hardly.
I do encourage it,I think we need to step back from this a definately take a deep breath here.
If you do or do not like the show really makes no difference to me.
Its the same as if we dont care for the same type of artist ,bands , books , or whatever the subject may be.
I understand things can be taken out of context.
All I was trying to do was find out some information that was all.
This was not to be a Joseph McCartney trail here.
If I offended you . I apologize.
We are both free to speak our minds here.
Stay and we can have better discussion on real subject instead of a Tv Show.
Hope you stay , No hard feelings.
MM(John)
:)
MM I don't think you were being harsh at all. You did ask for a song - this is the buys, sell trade place.
I did set up a smallville thread for everyone to state their opinion in the Television section.
If we all agreed on all topics we'd be a boring bunch! :)

John.. I have no idea what was in that post that pissed you off.. I honestly can't believe it! MirrorballMan even went so far as to put an emoticon at the end of his sentence to keep the mood in a positive manner...
If you leave, it's because you are in a foul mood.. not because you were "offended" and had to defend yourself..
sorry.. just my opinion ;)
Sal Collaziano 11-27-01, 12:11 AM I know exactly what the problem is/was
(or atleast I think I do because Tinajo says I'm God)
The following line would upset anybody: "Your post was completely unnecessary."
Now, while Mirrorball man was just stating what he felt was a fact, Outofplacechild took it personally.
Basically, no one is wrong here. I think it would be best that everyone completely forgot what happened here because this seems like an episode of the Twilight Zone (the 80s series).
You are so right, as usual, My God...
Mirrorball Man 11-27-01, 01:27 AM Sal.
Ive stated my opinion.
Ive apologized.
I dont know what else I can do,but since you wish it(and this is your domain here)
I consider this thread closed.
All things forgotten.
Hope OPC feels the same.
MM
:)
Sal Collaziano 11-27-01, 12:11 PM I think this was all just a misinterpretation of feelings. Even at WORST case scenario and I'm wrong - everyone is entitled to a screwup every now and then. Not saying anyone screwed up here - I'm not going to over-think this. Let's just forget about it...
