I was just wondering what everyone thinks of the Dixie Chick's cover of Stevie Nick's classic song (from the '70s), "Landslide"? I was actually surprised that anyone would even attempt to do a cover of this song or that Stevie would allow someone else to re-do it, as it is such a personal song to her. While I don't think the remake is overtly bad, it certainly doesn't have the same appeal as Stevie's haunting version. What do you guys think? :)

Hey don't diss the Chicks!!! I actually have that album, "Home" and it's great. And I like their version of "Landslide". Natalie (can't remember her name, and she's not fat) is a great singer. The whole "Home" album is great, and I'm not a huge country music fan. :)

You call stevie nicks voice "great" more like GRATES (as in, on my nerves). I like the remake.

I didn't even know that was a remake. I happen to be channel surfing the other day and stopped and watched part of the video.

I liked it. Not as good as the original, but good. Not the Chicks best work either, but still good. Did anyone notice that one of the Chicks was pregnant in the video? :eek: You don't see that very often. When she has the baby, will it be a Dixie Chicklet? :laugh: Nevermind...

I think the reason I liked it a bit is that I saw the video first....it is absolutely gorgeous. All you have to do is turn the volume down....;)

I don't mind the song (runs for cover) and don't actually mind a few of there songs

for some reason I don't like "the fat one " either, Not for any reason but her look , makes her looks like she has attitude

I actually do like it. It has a very bluegrassy sound so it sits well with me. Looking forward to hearing more of it.

I love it. It has a very bluegrass sound, just like the rest of the "Home" album. Actually, I love both this version and the Stevie Nicks version equally. The video is especially great, the special effects in it are dazzling.
