We've had "What were you feeling when you turned 30?" How about a few things you should have done before you turn 30?

I'll start you all off.

Had your heart broken at least once.

Made stupid sexual advances to a friends sister/brother.

Fired a machine gun.

Proposed marriage.

Had a minor drunken brush with the law.

Woken up after a 'one-night-stand' and not been able to remember their name.

Woken up with someone you shouldn't be in bed with.

Two-timed someone (just to get it out of your system).

Made friends with an arch enemy from school.

Just a few to start you off.

Dang!! 30 is coming on like a mack truck, and that's the only thing I've ever done on your list! I must be boring or loyal, you choose. :p

Some of what I have accomplished:

Gave birth to the most wonderful person I've ever known.

Married the second most wonderful person I've ever known.

Got so drunk I couldn't remember anything. (Twice. The first time was practice. :lol: )

And a host of other things I don't want to list here. ;)

Before I turned 30..I accomplished to:
Had your heart broken at least once.

Got so drunk I couldn't remember anything.
Got so wasted that I actually got paranoid about anything that moved.
Cruised around all night long with friends, just talking, and watching the sun come up.

Married.
Gave birth.
Started my book.


40 is coming up for me. Kind of hard to remember 10 years + but great thread.

I'm only 18 but I still did most of those things. I guess I'm at the age where I'm old enough to have done the bad things but still too young to have done any real accomplisments. By the time I'm 30, I just hope I would have opened my bar

The idea was that you should add other things you should do before you're 30. Why just a bar? Why not a chain of them?

OK!! I have gotten so drunk that I don't remember what I did! Twice! I had to make sure I did it right the first time. :lol:

Let's see....something I hope I do before I turn 30 is finish the E-book I've been writing about smoking and quitting for Sal.

I've always wanted to own a bar named "Stumble Inn", but I'll have to wait until the E-book sells and makes me a millionaire. :lol: Or lotto is good, too! ;)

Except for the point "Made friend with an arch-enemy from school" (first...I was the menace of many people, second...love is transitory, hate is eternal :D), I think that I have accomplished all "targets".

Opening a bar...well, this idea has crossed my mind more than once, but since I'm lacking the sufficient funds, it will remain a idea for a longer time.
I would call it the "Wave Cave", and it's all about 80s Pop music...Taz has promised to be the host of the first Alphaville-night then. :D

Well, I am 34 and I had only one of those things done thats on the list, lol. WHAT a nerd and loser I AM, LOL.

I only posted a few things, basically because I'm too ashamed to admit to some of the other things. :devil:

By the time I was 30...

I had sex with a woman more than twice my age *I was 20, she was 54* :4psycho:

I had sex with less partners than any of my friends *can't judge quality though, as most people lie about sex encounters*

Settled down *said I never would* :scared:

Got married *said I never would*

Fathered a son *said I would never have kids* (see a pattern here?)

Joined the military

Was honorably discharged from the military

Got tattooed

And lots of other things, most good. Alot of things that I said I would never do... just goes to show you that the saying, "never say never" is a safe one to live by. :thumb:
