Hihttp://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//wavey.gif Gang, I spent more than a few hours on Michaels site checking out his book online, and it is really put together very well. I went through every page (which is a long process online), and had to keep going to the last page.
The book has all kinds of 80's trivia questions, fill in the blanks, name the artist, Top 10 lists of the 80's, and all kinds of other fun stuff. I think I'm going to order one.
Michael, is your book available in stores too, or only online?
Nice Goin' Michael!

80sTrivia 4-06-01, 08:06 AM Sarg:
Thank you for your post inquiring about my book, THE TOTALLY AWESOME 80S POP MUSIC TRIVIA BOOK!!! The book should be available in the bookstores, particularly Barnes & Noble, and it is also available on Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com, Booksamillion.com, and Mediaplay.com. If you are unable to locate the book in a bookstore, ask a bookstore employee to locate a copy, or they can place an order for a copy. They would just need the book's title, the author's name (Michael Craig) and the ISBN number (bar code number on the back cover) which is: 0-595-17010-2. They will be able to order a copy ASAP. Thanks for the kind words about my book, and for the encouragement. I've said it before, but the 80s community of the Net is the most amazing community out there!!! I love you guys...

Sal Collaziano 4-06-01, 09:58 AM MDC. Why don't you set your signature up so that the words "Buy my book" take you to a link to buy your book? That would make it easier for you to make sales. I'm going to look for your book in Barnes and Noble. If I don't see it, I will ask them to get some copies.
P.S. Something totally wierd. The mind works in such strange ways. I remember a long time ago there was this band called "Millions of Dead Christians". I've never heard any of their songs and never cared for them, BUT... Their initials were MDC. A lot of kids wore MDC shirts and hats and stuff. Well, over the past few days, I've been remembering seeing these shirts and the band's name has been in my head. I just realized that YOU'RE the reason! Wacky, eh? http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//tongue.gif

Roemello 4-09-01, 01:01 PM You can hyperlink the 'Buy My Book' phrase to make it look neater than the whole address by making your sig like this:
<url=http://www.iuniverse.com/marketplace/bookstore/book_detail.asp?isbn=0%2D595%2D17010%2D2>Buy My Book!</url>
Just replace the < and > with [ and ]
That should make it look like this:

80sTrivia 4-17-01, 04:31 PM Just a quick note to tell everyone that I'm currently writing a rather steamy novel set during the 80s, about, what else, sex, drugs, more sex, more drugs, and rock and roll... It promises to be very hot and spicy, with a fascinating cast of characters. Consider it a Valley of the Dollsfor the 80s generation. Did I mention there was lots of sex in it??? Okay, who would buy this book by a show of hands?

Local Author finds fame in the 1980s
By Holly Fisher
News Editor
It was the decade of big hair, Madonna and “Thriller”. It was the 1980s and for those who lived through it, it was a time not easily forgotten.
Michael-Dante Craig is one such person. He was a kid during the 1980s and he says he couldn’t have chosen a better time to grow up. Now, at the age of 31, Craig hasn’t let go of his love of the 1980s. In fact, he’s turned it into a lucrative career.
Craig, who has lived in the Charleston area for three years, recently published The Totally Awesome 80s Pop Music Trivia Book through iUniverse, a publishing company providing digital content technology and services. The book is full of 1980s quizzes, trivia questions and random facts.
What was the top song of the decade? “Every Breath You Take” by The Police. Or who was considered the hottest male rock star of the decade? Why, Jon Bon Jovi, of course.
Craig has sold more than 5,000 copies of his book, primarily through word-of-mouth on the Internet. He’s found a niche in his 1980s books. He has signed on with iUniverse to write five books about the 1980s. This fall a new book will hit the stands, The Totally Awesome 80s Movie Trivia Book. And another sequel to the music trivia book will be available this winter.
Craig is also working on a novel set in the 1980s and 1990s that, with any luck, will be published next year. He also has plans for a screenplay set, of course, in the 1980s.
The University of North Carolina/Charlotte graduate sort of fell into the writing business. He had written poetry and some short stories, but nothing like this, he said.
“I didn’t think it was possible,” Craig said of his publishing career.
“I felt I was the only person in the world who missed this time,” he said. “I got on the Internet and discovered an entire community of people who miss the 1980s as much as I do. I’m good with music and trivia and decided to write it all down.”
Craig spent close to a year researching the time period, using a great deal of his own music collection. He has hundreds of CDs from 1980s artists and 1980s compilation CDs as well as an extensive collection of 45 singles.
“Luckily, I have a good memory,” Craig said.
Craig’s older sister, Paula, is a big music fan, he said, so she helped with the trivia book as well.
The books should be fairly easy for anyone who grew up in the 1980s. Craig said he threw in a few stumpers though. “I didn’t want it to be too easy,” he said.
Compared to the four previous decades, the 1980s ushered in a time of peace and a sense of calmness, the author said.
“In the 80s, the music was happier and lighter. It was more colorful,” Craig said. “When I hear a song from the 80s, I am instantly happy. The music from today doesn’t have the same affect on me.”
Those growing up in the 1980s had disposable income and they witnessed the birth of video games and MTV, he said.
“I grew up in a small town in Kentucky. We had MTV and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world,” Craig said.
Craig’s 1980s favorites include U2, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen. He names the “Brat Pack” movies such as “The Breakfast Club” as some of his picks. “Sixteen Candles was the story of my life,” he says jokingly.
It’s been 20 years since big bangs and blue jean jackets were all the rage. It’s also been 20 years since Pac Man ruled the video game world and Molly Ringwald was the teen movie queen.
It might have been more than ten years since Michael Craig technically lived in the 1980s, but a part of him has never left.
“I’m hopelessly stuck in the 80s,” he says.
To order Craig’s books, visit www.iUniverse.com, (http://www.iUniverse.com,) or, for more information, visit the author’s web site at www.SwiftSite.com/80sdude. (http://www.SwiftSite.com/80sdude.) His books are also available at your local Books-A-Million and Barnes & Noble bookstores.
