In the 1980s & 1990s Lee Aaron was Canada's "Metal Queen".
Though not well-known in the USA, Lee was a gold &
platinum-selling artist in Europe. She released 5 albums
throughout the 1980s, and was always a fan favorite at European
heavy metal events such as the Castle Donnington Festival.

*Lee Aaron's first band was the Lee Aaron Project. People
assumed since she was the frontwoman her name was Lee Aaron.
So she adopted it as her stage name. Her real name is Karen Greenings.

*Before she was "famous", Lee posed topless for the men's
magazine "OUI".

*Lee Aaron became known as Canada's "Metal Queen" due to
her 1984 song & album of the same name. Through the years,
Lee attempted to drop the song from her live shows to focus on
new material; but her fans always requested it!

*Lee attempted to escape her "Metal Queen" persona in 1996.
She recorded an album of alternative music using her real
name. The band was called 2Preciious, but in Europe it was
still released as "Lee Aaron & 2Preciious".

*Lee is now married to band member Don Short; and has a
step-daughter.

*In 1999, Lee began performing jazz & blues in Canadian clubs
under her real name, Karen. She received such a positive response
that she decided to record an album of jazz/blues standards.

*In 2000, Lee Aaron left "Metal Queen" in the past with the release
of "Slick Chick". The album also features 2 original jazz/blues tracks she wrote.

I like Lee Aaron. She was born in the same city as me :D

I didn't really like her Jazz music as much as I did her metal though. I still love her song Whatcha Do to My Body

I don't remember which video it was... i think it may have been 'Metal Queen' ... but it was the one where she was dressed up in an outfit similar to that of "Sheena: Queen of the Jungle" and she was tied up and getting whiped with red and blue lazers

Now that was a great video :yesnod:
