I have really had my way with the proverbial pooch this time... I was looking for some free animated gifs and, while wading through the inevitable popups, I stumbeld upon what looks like some spyware. It changed my browser home page and locked me out so I can't change it back. What is really bad news is that it was at work, so it affects my user profile. How can I fix this w/o getting the nice folks at ITS all worked up?
BTW, the site it links to is Xupiter, ever hear of it?
 Yeah, Xupiter is one of the more well known homepage hijackers. You have two options here. Either find and rename "xtupdate.dll" to something like "xtupdate.old" (you may have to boot into safe mode or a command prompt to do this) or you can try this little prgram that should fix this issue and prevent it from happening again. BHODemon (http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm)
Let me know how this works out for you.

I can't find the little b@st@rd! Where would've "xtupdate.dll" have gone to? Since this is in my user profile in the server @ work, I'm having a hard time locating the file.
For some reason, BHODemon won't run on this PC. :(
Try this and see if it helps. It is a direct link to an uninstaller that Xupiter provides. http://www.xupiter.com/uninstall/
