If you lived anywhere near NY, what were you doing during the whole "Son of Sam" summer? Unfortunately, I was in the thick of the whole thing. Three of the murders were within a mile of my house, and I was dating the survivor of the first attack's cousin. They had dropped us off at the movies that night before going out dancing. Talk about a close call! I can remember my mother making me go out at night without a shirt because of my hair so Sam wouldn't think I was a girl and blow me away. A VERY uneasy summer for the Big Apple!

David Berkowitz! Isn't he supposed to be a Christian and teching Bible Study in Jail now? That's what I've heard lately. Plus I saw an interview with him about it.

I lived in the Bronx during the Summer of '77. I was sixteen at the time. There were all kinds of rumours going around about where and when he would strike next. It was a scary time for all, especially for teenagers. He had the whole city in his grip. It was a great sense of relief when he was finally caught. I think he's eligible for parole in a few years, I hope the coward never sees daylight again.
