- The two musicians, Pål Waaktar and Magne Furuholmen had a band before they joined with Morten Harket in 1983. The band was called "Bridges" and made a record in 1981.

- That their breakthrough song "Take on me" was originally called "Lesson One".

- That "Take on me" was released twice before they made the video we all know - and that was it!

I could go on but let's see what others know ;)

Guitarist Paal Waaktaar and keyboardist Magne "Mags" Furuholmen had been playing together in bands with ominous monikers like Black Day and Spider Empire since they were pre-teens

Too bad that a-ha had dropped the original b-side "Stop! And Make Your Mind Up" from the "Take On Me" single...on the version which made the breakthrough, this little upbeat synthpop tune was replaced by "Train Of Thought".
