Did you know that Def Leppard were in the middle of recording "Hysteria" when Rick Allen lost his left arm?

Did you know that the band Atomic Mass was originally formed by Rick Savage and Pete Willis, until Joe Elliott joined and they renamed the band Def Leppard? This was in 1977.

Phil Collen replaced Pete Willis in 1983. Viv Campbell joined the band after Steve Clark's death in 1991.

*Vivian Campbell had also been a member of Whitesnake before joining Def Leppard.

Before joining Def Leppard, Phil Collen was in a band called Girl, a group that in early 1980 put out what I think must be the first cover of a KISS tune ("Do You Love Me") to be released on a label of any note (Jet Records), if not at all.

Vivian Campbell was also in DIO.

Def Leppard are considered by most to be the best 9 armed band in the world.

It took nearly a year to record Pyromania. If it was not successful, it was going to be the end of Def Leppard because they had racked up so much debt in studio time.

Joe Elliott bought that Union Jack t-shirt at a thrift store on his way to make the video for "Photograph" with the last bit of money he had to his name.

Oh, one more... Def Leppard first toured the U.S. as an opening act for Billy Squier.
