Does anyone remember why the video GIRLS ON FILM by Duran Duran was banned on MTV? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

It was too sexually suggestive???<img src="confused.gif" border="0">

They thought it was promoting "adult films" that's why it was banned. <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">

No, I never saw that video. That's why I still want to see it. I vaguely remember someone told me that the video was banned on MTV.

Now that brings back some memories. I have that whole video album on BETA video tape. *cowers in embarrassment*I know I taped it off from somewhere, and at night they would play the "dirty" version of Girls on Film.

I have the whole video album too on VHS. Just to think all the young girls who had that videocassette back then.

Funny that they think that video would be too suggestive yet look at the lack of clothes in foxy brown's videos, 'fly girls' in the Offspring Video's etc. They sould play it now if they aren't already I love that song :) Well then i love Duran Duran.

I actually have the uncensored version of the Girls on Film video that I bought on a New Wave Hits of the 80s video that I found a few years back at Media Play. I think the main reason it was banned from MTV and the BBC was because of the full-frontal nudity, and the scene where a woman's nipples are exposed and being massaged with an ice cube... :eek:

LOL, Roem... yes, "The Chaffeur" is a mini- Art house "masterpiece", but I still like the overt sexuality in "Girls on Film" just a bit more!!! ;)
