Hello there! Wondering if anyone can help me, I'm having a sort of 80's party this weekend, music is sorted but what can I serve up? Any ideas for 80's food, nibbles, my friend and I have been trying to think of some stuff and haven't come up with much. Cocktail sausages with pineapple?? Doesn't matter if it's silly - the sillier the better as long as I don't have to do much cooking!! Thanks a million!!!!

NACHO"S! Remember how big they were in the mid 80's? Get a crock pot to keep the cheese melted and serve everything else Buffet style....:thumb:

Nachos?? I'm from Ireland! We didn't have anything as fancy as that!!!! I think I ate my first Nacho about 5 years ago - haa haa haa, I'm not joking honest. What do I do with Nachos? Heat them up in the oven and just serve with cheese???

No nachos in Ireland?? You poor girl  Here in the States, nacho's come in a bag like potato chips and you just dip them in the cheese or salsa straight from the bag.

be sure to provide 80's candy as treats!!! NERDS were popular then and are still around...

You can't go wrong with daquries to drink.(strawberry, the fruitier the better!)

Nachos was a great idea! Burritos are easy, too!
gotta have a veggie/cheese tray for nibblers...

Thanks for all your suggestions, fondue would be a great laugh!! some of the other things I have never heard of, don't think we have them on this side of the Atlantic!! Should be great, and I've got some good films to put on - Dirty Dancing, Breakfast club etc etc.

all this food is making me hungry.. can we all get together sometime in the exchange as an excuse to party? byoffab (brign your own favorite food and beverage) and just post as many times as you can about anything listenting to or watching something u loved about the 80s.
