Anybody else see this last night on the Nashville Network? They had Night Ranger and the Tubes doing a little show in a club.

It was excellent! Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson can still play guitar as good as ever! They'd have a little interview with the band, usually just one question, and then they'd show 'em playing a song. Then it was the other band's turn. Got to see about three songs by the Tubes and four by Night Ranger.

Picked up some cool trivia: The drummer for Night Ranger wrote the song Sister Christian. His sister's name is actually Kristin or Kristi or something like that, but the rest of the folks in the band minunderstood him and thought he was singing sister christian, which they thought was far cooler than what he was actually singing. "Motorin' " refers to cruising in the little town his sister lived in, which they called motorin'.

Anyhow, if you happen to see a show called Hard Rock on TNN in the future, you should check it out!

I saw most of that!! TNN and Rock and Roll is not a combo I expected, but who cares!!! Night Ranger was my fave in the 80s!! They were my first concert! Van Zant (is it Zandt? Whatever.) opened for them! They sang 'Don't Tell Me You Love Me', 'When You Close Your Eyes', and 'Sister Christian'. *sigh* Thanks for calling me with that info, Buff!!

The only thing that would have made it better was 'Four In The Morning', because I got in trouble coming home at 4 on the dot and singing this on my way through the door...the joys of being 15!! LOL

On the last ECW on TNN, when Lou E Dangerously was walking to the ring under his name it said He's got pop. I couldn't stop laughing at that. Joel Gertner says "It's better than there old slogan wich was we f*ck pigs" LOL

Sorry, off topic. I like The Tubes too!

I didn't know that. That would explain some of the changes in format I have been noticing on there lately. Darn, I missed Night Ranger!

Yeah, topcat, we learn something new everyday, huh? Today we learned that Huffy is not just a bike!!! LMAO!!! AND...that he thinks he's a helluva guy... LOL He is funny, though.

Really, I loved them...I even have the last two not-so-great (get this!!) cassettes they put out. (Definition: cassettes - little tape thingies they had to put music on that replaced the 8-track and Vinyl record albums, before CDs.) I know they were a bit cheesy, but at the ripe old age of 13, I thought Jack Blades was soooo hot!! LOL I have gotten older, though, and unfortunately, so has he....But, hey, I was 13 Anything goes!! LOL
