Hey, peeps! Ever wonder sometimes what someone means by the lyrics of a song? Or were they just looking for something that rhymed? Do you have one to share with us, or do you know what ours mean? :lol:

Here's one that never made sense to me:

Sister Christian - - Night Ranger

You're motoring
You've got him in your sights
And driving through the night

And finding Mister Right?
You'll be all right tonight

What the hell is he talking about?!?!?!! And in the beginning of the song, why don't those boys don't wanna play no more? :lol:

I like this song, but it really doesn't hit me as something that makes much sense. What do you think?

"Motoring" is another way of saying "You're running" or "You're out looking for something"

Those boys don't want to play anymore because they feel like they have used her up--she gave up her body hoping to be popular and they have lost respect for her.

This is a song about changing your ways, learning to be a complete person without a partner, without giving up your body or your self respect.

That's how I took it anyway. Great song!

I thought maybe she was a druggie, or suicidal....

I like the song, too, it was just an example of what I thought didn't make any sense. :lol:
