I know I will jinx myself for this but I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bored here at work! What can I do? Which 800 number can I crank call? The firewall here won't let me go on the 80sxchange chat! I get dizzy spinning around on my swivel chair! :rollin:

So far so good. I am drawing cartoons. You know, I was told things will get pretty busy next week. I know this is bad and I will regret saying it but.... <deep breath and whispering> I can't wait</end>.

It's nice when works is slow but not all the time! This happens every day. I've done all the personal surfing and looking for extra work that I can find. yes it's nice to paid to do nothing but in the end, I feel so useless and a leech (politician?).

Does anyone else have this?

I've been having this problem all summer, Sketcher. I'm wishing I had a classroom to decorate today.

Oh yeah summertime in a daycare center can definitely be boring. It's the one time of the year when the kiddies get tired of the adults, coz we keep teasing 'em, starting waterfights and nag them to play football with us :D

BTW Sketcher, you could laways take advantage of the newest feature on the xchange; Tetris :thumb:

When I'm bored...I fight for the computer from my mom and post my ass off. :D

But scary, like Jen, I WANNA GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!! And...before you start...it's hardly anything to do with that punk boy Dan. :p

AAAAhh yes, tetris. The ultimate boredom reliver. Thanks for the reminder, 80sSmurf :)

Once, I was bored and played around with http://www.createafart.com. I had headphones plugged into my speakers and called up a cousin of mine to let her hear. We were laughing our heads off and I was on the verge of crying because I was laughing so hard and trying not to let anyone hear.

suddenly, I saw my supervisor in the reflection on my monitor. She was standing behind me and I didn't know how long she was there! :D

LOL.

I've been so bored today I've been sitting outside reading books, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes.

I feel absolutely terrible that I am being paid for this.

I wonder if I should give the money back?

Oh well, nothing else to do but leave early and sit in the pub drinking beer, smoking cigarettes and reading. :D

Hope your day worked out okay Sketch.

LOL, leech/politician :D :D I work in state government and the summers are quite slow around here. We're always busy during election years though, so I regard this as our resting time before the primaries.

I had quite an adventure today at lunch! I caught a stray baby ferret in the park and took it to the shelter. I posted about it on another board. (yahoo! group/a mix of my IRL and online buddies) Maybe I'll just post the link (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thechairisnotthinking/message/3023) and save you from the long post here.

(Click through any non-message pages, Yahoo groups have ads, but I don't believe there will be one... and oh yeah, if you read some other messages, and like them, please join us!)

Reading in a pub sounds great, Bogie. I think I have to go home and cook supper tonight... then I'll probably wind up watching TV. (And calling my friends who have ferrets to tell them the story)

I'm having my jollies leaving messages on my friends' pagers, cellphones, and home phones telling them to listen to them on speaker phone real loud! :D DJ Daffy, if your girlfriend gets angry about you sending her son the fart, I TAKE FULL CREDIT! I mean BLAME.

And yes, I did get caught by my super again! :D

I'll read your ferret ad MaryC while I catch my breath.

Createafart! Hahahaha! It's of course blocked from work, but I'll check it at home. My mom will laugh her butt off. (7th grade teachers have the humor standards of 12-year-olds!)

WOW! I didn't know my boredom would send laughter and happiness worldwide! And who would have thought that all it would take is passing gas? :)

I think God invented farts for that reason.

Harket: hilarious picture! I wonder if NASA will be using such a device to save money on future space missions?

TopCat: thanks for the compliments on my website. I TOLD YOU NOT TO LOOK AT IT! ;) I have my own li'l whoopie cushion there. You can never go wrong with bathroom humour...

80sSmurf: I laughed outloud when I read: I'll just recommend trying the Embarrasingly loud, cheesy, SBD, Off the scale -fart .... That's 14 secs of pure unadulterated farting fun :D

Milani: be very, very careful with that website at work! I got caught off-guard twice!

 Just before I read this I turned up my speakers and thought my boss was still at lunch and all you could hear was farts coming from my office..
It was funny until the boss walked in

I don't trust anybody who can't laugh at a good fart joke. I mean... really. (Maybe the office is not the most decorous place for it, but still! )

I "shared the joy" of the link with my husband at home last night, and he's sending it to all his friends... you've created a monster!

I should have put that on my website, MaryC. If only I had thought of it! :) Createafart.com is also promoting martial harmony.

Milani, just send your boss to me and I'll explain everything :) I was on the phone with someone with my headphones pressed against it with the 14 second one 80sSmurf suggested (HILARIOUS by th eway) when someone walked in. I didn't realize I had the volume up loud enough so you could hear it from a distance. Oops.

Actually have one...:fart: Great to use at parties and get-togethers:D

Tried the embarasssingly long, SBD fart...hehe...pretty funny:lol: However, I tended to go with the embarassingly long, death-over, wet, off-the scale fart:D

Farts in harmony....hmmm....interesting concept:lol:
