NEW YORK (AP) — A construction worker found a human bone on a rooftop two blocks from the site of the World Trade Center, police said.
The bone found Friday may have been thrown onto the building by the force of the explosions and collapse of the trade center towers in the Sept. 11 attacks.
The bone appeared to be from a woman's pelvis, investigators said. It was taken to the medical examiner's office to be analyzed.

Maybe another family will have some sort of a closer now for their missing loved one. I'm still hearing/reading reports of things still being found in different places. Yes, def. hard to believe after almost a year.

I'm sure they will do a DNA test on the bone to see if they will be able to identify who it once belonged to. I agree with Jana that this might bring a small bit of closure to the family of the victim....

That's really sad. :( Hopefully, it will help a family find closure. It's very saddening to hear of those who have not found the bodies of their loved ones.

I thought it might be one of the "urband legends" starting up but I didn't find anything about this one on truthorfiction.com...that's always my best rescource.
How creepy that is. I agree with Christine, hopefully this will aid a family with closure of that horrible event.

It doesn't shock me at all... and still they want to rebuild down there. NYC is runned by a bunch of assclowns... including our last mayor who behind closed doors still has a say in the city.
Hmm...this story sounds a bit familiar:

Well, it was a bone, not a body strapped into a seat. But, it could be false, but I got the story from the Associated Press, which I am sure would screen it for validiity.

I agree with Jasper..AP would certainly check something out before printing.
That other article was just full of horror.(and untruth). big deal if the hands of different races were found together, I think it would be almost impossible for anyone to have died of starvation...after only several minutes of breathing the dust and fumes ON THE STREETS, there have been complaints of how hard it was to breath. Who thinks of this stuff?
Good point LIT80's.
I was basically challenging the validity of AP's statement, because in cases like this these there can be are very similar variations on the theme.
Personally I am treating this report with a good degree of scepticism, but then I live in a country with newspapers like 'The Sun' and 'The Mirror'. And reading 'The Times' is no guarantee of validity either.....
