View Full Version : Daughters surgery
My daughter is going in for surgery tommorow to have her tonsils and adnoids removed. Very simple surgery but I am very nervous. She has trouble breathing at night so the doctors feel this will help, but hate the idea of my angle being put under. She's only 2 1\2 but very sharp, we have been talking to her about the surgery and telling her that her throat will hurt and she is looking forward to the ice cream. I'll let you all know how she is on Thursday since I wont be online tommorrow. If you believe in prayers please say one for our family, we cannot have any more tragedy in our lives, thanks......
Anthony
p.s. I know I am over reacting but we have had some real bad luck in the past when concerning hospitals...
Hon, I know exactly how you are feeling and you are not over reacting that is your baby and as a parent we don't want anything to happen to them. My son was 14 and I still was on edge about his surgery. You have every right to feel uneasy about it. But know this we are all here for you.. and I will be praying for her.
Just think happy thoughts :)
Good luck to you and your family.
LOSTNTHE80S 8-13-02, 09:21 AM Good luck AMK...I'll send one of my guardian angels to watch over your daughter. Please give her a hug for us. Let us know how things go.
We will all be thinking about you!
My nephew (born 3/12) had a hernia operation in July, and I was a nervous wreck. I can only imagine how much worse his parents felt. Everything went just fine, though, and he was his usual self by the next morning.
{{hugs}} for you & your family.
psychocandy 8-13-02, 11:30 AM Anthony, I will be thinking of you, your family, and your little angel and am sending lots of positive energy your way.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, they really are appreciated and brings a lump to the throat....Thank You!

I just wanted to say a few words to my surrogate family. First, Emily is fine and so are her parents, the surgery was a success and she is already eating popcicles. She is a tough little sh*t:) Second, Thank you to all of you for your prayers and best wishes, you are not only loving people but friends as well. Thank you all so much.....Anthony

Yes please. :D
Last fluff post.............I promise.
I'm sorry I didn't see this before her surgery, but I'm glad things went OK. :)
My son had his adenoids out when he was 4 and it is nerve wracking to have your baby go under anesthesia. They say it's simple surgery, but nothing is simple where your love and concern for your child is concerned.
All the best to you and your daughter! Dont sweat it, It will be FINE!! Being a proud papa myself, I do understand. Give her a BIG smooch from everyone at the xchange.:)
Glad Emily came through her surgery just fine! :) :) Thanks for the update amk!
Just like I told you in my pm I am so glad things did well. You are a great father to be with her during this time.
Your little girl sounds like she is very strong :D

That's the best part of the surgery!!! :D
Glad, everything worked out fine Amk! Emily probably takes after her dad! ;)
AMK, I'm so happy to hear that Emily is doing fine. I know how you felt about her having to be anesthetized. My son had tubes put in his ears when he was about 2. I was pulling my hair out until I knew he was okay. :)
Prefab Sprouter 8-15-02, 10:17 AM Hey AMK thats great news. Hopefully she will be back to normal in no time, though judging by the fact she's eating ice cream its a good sign!
It's obvious why this site is so successfull......because of all of you! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and may GOD bless you all:) :) :)
