Who voice is knocking your socks off these days?

I have to say, at the top of my list is Martina McBride. She is awesome!!
Rebecca Lynn Howard and Kellie Coffey (who sang back-up for Barbra Streisand, I hear) have superb voices, too. Yet, all three are very different. :)

As for guys, I'd have to say Gary Allan's voice is sexy. Rascal Flatts is basically a country version of the boy band, but man can they harmonize!! Love them! And Keith Urban has so much potential, I just wish he'd shave that stupid thing under his bottom lip. What the heck is that about?

There are so many I'm forgetting, but I'm sure someone will mention them. :lol:

I love Martina McBride and Jo Dee Messina!!! I also like Keith Urban but you're right, Val, he does need to shave that jazz spot. Did you know that he's Australian? Pretty kewl! I also like Nickel Creek. They are very young but have a wonderful and unique sound to them! :thumb:

If Martina McBride is new then hell yeah, I love her.

I like Brad Paisley, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Keith Urban and others I can't think of off hand.

I mean 'new' as in anything from the 90s & today...;) Like, Willie Nelson has new stuff out, but he's not a new artist. Duzzat make sense? :)

Kellie Coffey has the most amazing voice. It just blows me away. I have so many artists on my list. Lee Ann Womack, Lila McCann, the Dixie Chicks, Martina McBride, Jo Dee Messina, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Sara Evans, the list goes on.

I mainly listen to the Country Artists from the 90s and earlier, I don't care much for the Pop Country Artists of today.

Well, he was nice about it. He was actually really polite. This was about 8 or 9 years ago, and he was pretty much still unknown. But, he came back in later, was very polite, and had a good time.

I like Martina McBrides voice too. Just beautiful, her and her voice. I also have always loved Ricky Van Sheltons vocals. Im not always really fond of his music but I just love that mans singing. AND of course I'll always love George Strait!!!:biglick:

Hey, the lead singer is HOT sometimes and GROSS the rest of the time. The new video she looks really hot. I like the cross eyes sister thebest though! She has a terrific a$$!

Jasper, I am shocked and appauled (not really :p) that you would say such a thing about Martina. Her voice is sooo powerful and it comes naturally to her. She's not like Faith Hill and Leann Rimes who try so hard it falls very short. You need to see her live and you too will be in awe. She has not done much good in the last couple of years as she is falling into the pop/country genre. I wish she would go back to the good country music she has done in the past.

As for the chicks....:yucky:

DJ, Martina has that point in every songwhere she just has to go "balls out" and when she does her voice irritates the living hell out of me. Sorry, shes just trying too hard for my liking plus, even when she is just singing softer, I just dont care for her voice. I agree with the Faith Hill comment as well, but I dont really think she is that talented to begin with. ANd Leann Rhimes or however you spell it, should just hang it up, because she is PURE CRAP live. Her voice is shot (if you have ever heard her live, you know what I mean). Just listen to the two versions of "How do I live without you" Trish Yearwood makes that song sound beautiful, while Leann sounds like a fat redneck drunk girl on Karaoke night.

The Dixie CHicks have those roots in the OLD SCHOOL country music that I heard as a kid that my parents listened to. THey do have a pop side to them, and there is nothing wrong with that, but one listen to thier new song, and you can tell they are not afraid to go back to thier roots.

I love the Dixie Chicks musically but the lead singer needs to shut the hell up. Her voice is worse than nails down a chalkboard.

Wow, I like her, and hate Martina, and you are the complete oposite, but we agree on just about all the others. ODD. Either way, they all need to just put out more good music, and less of the new country sounding crap that is out these days.
